Absolutely disgusted by you guys. Im the lady who is allgeric to dairy. Had dinner on the 19th of December. While looking at the menu explained that I am allergic. Ask if i could have the terrian yes dairy free. Made sure i had the barrimundi without the caper sauce. Within an hour of eating the terrian I was rushed to fiona Stanley. Had to use my epipen along the way. Oxggen level done to 90. Overnight stay in emergency. Dinner cost about $ 280 Ring the next day ask again sorry terrian has dairy in it. Got an apology Ring again about a week later.(Bit more awake.) at the specialist again go threw the menu. Dairy in the potato crocket as well. Spoke to the manager got an apology agaim but at at least i think i deserve my money back for the dinner. The specialist cost $ 270. The food wasn’t that nice either by the way

Nice meal, good service and well priced. Thought that the menu could of had a few more choices. The wine selection was also good. Well worth another visit.

Is this a joke? A full hour after ordering the mains(after suffering through the weakest most poorly made«cocktails» I think we’ve ever experienced), the two supposedly identical orders were sized like one was an entrée. The only thing consistent between the two was how totally raw the single slice of «potato» was. Seriously, the steak knife could barely cut through it. What an insult. Pro tip: DON’T

This should be better. The location just by the harbour is lovely, it has the setting for a romantic paradise — somewhere to linger for a few hours. But that’s not what happens. We had a table at 7 and we were finished at 7:30 — for what I thought was a fine/expensive($ 116 inc sauce and wine) dining restaurant, that felt very very rushed. The place wasn’t even at 2⁄3 capacity so why the rush? Why not a plate of bread? You shouldn’t have to order a starter to get a full experience or to get full up. The wine was lovely, as was the steak(mine with béarnaise sauce, his with red wine jus) but the table spoon of potato purée only as an included side was not up to the job. You really shouldn’t need to order two $ 10 sides to get a complete meal. Oh and it took longer to get the bill(which you can’t pay at the table) than it took to get the meal. Still it gets 4 stars because the steak was fab and it was the best out of the food I’ve had in Freo.

Always a pleasant experience, despite the price. But quality on the harbour is never going to be cheap. Great signature steaks, delicious sauces, comprehensive wine list. Best of all Little Creatures Pale Ale on tap. And don’t get me started on desserts. Try the sticky date pudding. Great service too, not overly pretentious — assume because they’ve been warn down by relentless tourist trade. But be sure to book ahead — even on a midweek night the place is packed.

This is a lovely place to go for a special occasion, we went on our anniversary. Sat overlooking the water front, with oysters and a glass of fizz to start with, giving the whole evening a really special feel. I had the best steak Tatar I’ve had in a while, topped with a quails egg and truffle oil. Delicious. The lamb I had for mains was beautifully cooked, however I think I was unlucky and got a bad cut with lots of sinew. My other half had a steak, which was perfect. Would certainly recommend.

The best steak I’ve had in Perth!!! Add to that friendly attentive staff that care about providing solid customer service and we have a winning combination. If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a delicious steak(coming from a Texas girl) this is the place to go. Plus the desserts, sides and drinks are also fantastic. Absolutely a must try but do remember its important to book a table early.

First time there last night and was disappointed when the manager said he didn’t expect a group of 20 celebrating a 50th birthday would be that noisy. As we were paying and leaving, he offered to give us drinks on the house, which was appreciated. But if he has restaurant experience, he should have known a group that size would produce noise such that they shouldn’t be seated in a small room with 3 other tables, one of which even had a baby. Those seated at all three tables asked to be moved. The food was ok overall. Medium-rare steaks a little too cooked. Steaks were served on mashed potatoes, which is an ok presentation, not spectacular. Fries were as usual in Perth, too thick and starchy, as if they had been frozen. Caesar salad was good. Didn’t try dessert because we just wanted to leave. Note to self — ensure there aren’t long tables near the one we’re about to sit at.

If your looking for a great steak you’ll definitely find one at one of the most under-rated grill spots in WA. Char Char Bull has the most amazing chunks of meat I’ve had in a while. They have certainly perfected the art of cooking the perfect steak. Their steaks are succulent & intensely flavoured. It’s located atop the Fishing Boat Harbour in Fremantle. I ordered the the Scoth Fillet with this incredible Sarawak peppercorn sauce and caramelised onions. Wow was it flavourful. It was a pretty hefty portion, plenty enough for me. I also order a side of prawns to go along with it. The prawns are cooked in a garlic cream sauce, very nicely done. Not overcooked at all. My friend ordered the whopping Rib Eye on the Bone. That thing was huge. Looked like have the cow. His steak was also cooked absolutely perfect as well. The food was amazing and better yet the service was impeccable. The server was on top of her game constantly checking in on us to make sure all was good. The prices are certainly fair, especially based on the portion size and the taste just can’t be beat. The restaurant is very open, somewhat reminiscent of a wharehouse feel, but in a good way. The atmosphere is definitely pleasant. They have a dining area outside where you can watch the boats sail by and gaze at some amazing water views. Overall a really nice experience with some incredibly tasting food. Pros: Amazing steaks with brilliant marbling, cooked to perfection Adequate parking Prices are certainly fair, you absolutely get what you pay for Fast, friendly and courteous staff Beautiful harbour views Cons: You definitely should make reservations, very hard to get a table at last minute The wait was unfortunately too long Would recommend without hesitation

Lovely place for lunch to take advantage of the location. Food was good — we had steak, burgers, fish n chips and pasta. Prices are full. Initially I thought my 300gm steak for +$ 40 was on light on but as it turns out… portion size was just the right amount. My fellow diners gave thumbs up for their dishes. Dessert was very good. Service was efficient and friendly on this busy Sunday.

Ive always felt this place is pretty pricey for what it is but the quality is there for sure. There are always vouchers around for 2 for 1 mains as well. Funnily enough I had the Fish and Chips the other day and it might have been the best fish I have ever had. The batter had a Middle Eastern flavour to it which was just brilliant.

Loved every meal here. Been there three times and their menu changes regularly but their forte is the eye fillet steak which was awesome. If you are going to visit, then make sure your hungry because you’ll probably want to try everything. Top notch at a reasonable price. Thumbs up for sure

I’ve passed Char Char Bull a number of times on my way to the other attractions in this part of Freo(namely Cicerello’s and Little Creatures), but today we decided to check it out after wanting somewhere a little quieter. Service was quick and polite – our waitress seemed a little new but she was still helpful. Ordered the Rib Eye and the Porterhouse, with the pizza bread to start. The pizza bread was actually great: the base was fresh and not too overwhelming, and the light feta, onion and olive oil topping kept it in starter territory. Was great for sharing. The Rib Eye was very good(had it medium). Maybe not the best steak I’ve ever had, but it was flavorful, juicy, and the sauce & mash didn’t overwhelm the meat itself. The Porterhouse was similarly good; a bit more charred on the outside, it was still juicy and the chips were fantastic(just crispy enough). I’d definitely visit again, but I wouldn’t drive the 25 minutes to Freo solely to go here.

I couldn’t imagine a better location for Char Char Bull to serve their scrumptious specialty: char grilled prime beef and funny enough, the best way it comes. They also serve flavourful steaks, gourmet pizzas, lamb, pork and local fish, prawns, oysters and mussels. The restaurant is decked out gorgeously, where I gorged on the chargrilled chicken breast, served with asparagus and on a lemon risotto with sundried tomato butter, basil and roasted garlic aioli; an exotic combination that blew my mind away. I will definitely be back with a rougher appetite, perhaps I’ll go for one of their tender steaks because they looked mighty fine.

Blah blah, I’m sure you’ve heard this a zillion times in my reviews, but I am not a meat-eater. Nonetheless, I frequent these sorts of restaurants because my friends are extremely inconsiderate. Jokes aside, this place was delicious! Located in the heart of the Fremantle«fish and chips triangle», I had a margarita pizza in a steak house. Yes, I’m a monster. However, my friends had plenty of beef and seemed very satisfied. They also took quite some time to decide what they wanted(sigh) followed by an unnecessarily long culinary debate with the waiter regarding which sauces they should pair with which steaks(yawn). Real good staff with heaps of meat-related insider information, clean, and the food came out pretty quickly even though it was a busy evening. Yay, I’m a fan!
