Empire Swing is Brisbane’s premier Swing Dance School, specializing in having fun teaching and performing a variety of different styles of Swing Dancing including Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Blues and Vernacular Jazz routines like The Big Apple, The Jitterbug Stroll and The Shim Sham.

With multiple locations around Brisbane, Empire Swing caters for all different levels of dancers from beginners through to advanced swing dancers.

History

Established in 2011.

Empire Swing performance team has seen performing and teaching various events of the year the highlights being: —

* Woodford — taught and performed 2011, 2012, 2013

* Bond University — taught and performed 2012

* Gangsters Ball Brisbane — performed 2012, 2013

* City Hall — performed for Lord Mayor’s Ball for the re-​opening Brisbane City Hall 2013

* QPAC — performed with Queensland Pops Orchestra 2013

* Sweet ‘n’ Hot Dance Workshop Melbourne — taught 2013

* Southbank — taught Dec 2013-​Jan 2014

* Cloudland — teaching class weekly 2013 to current

* Swing Shack –teaching class fortnightly 2011 to current
