Capulet Bar

Dig the outdoor area in the back, ferry lights get me every time. Super cutesy. Personally didn’t like the DJ the night I was there, but still managed to have fun and dance a bit… a few decent songs here and there. The bartenders were friendly and fun too :)

Our beloved Alloneword and it’s $ 10-​entry-​$ 2-​drinks-​all-​night Thursdays have gone, replaced by the incredible Capulet and half-​price cocktail Thursdays. Sadly, the former took all of their patrons with them.
Being an events assistant at a student society at my uni, I had to pay a visit to this venue to check if it is suitable for our event. Managers Scott and Leigh were more than happy to make deals with us. They’re super friendly and the guy behind the bar, whose name I forgot, is a cool metalhead (I feel like that’s worth a mention since we ended up having a conversation on the best metal album since the 00’s).
Anyway, the decorations are gorgeous! The fake grass seats pierced through my stockings, but I would want my bedroom to look like this. It’s open-​air, so I guess rainy nights would be annoying. Their cocktails are named after Shakespearean plays and characters and they are dee-​lish! (Especially half price, on a bar tab.)
The DJ was nice enough to offer to play our own mix, but none of us had an iPod with us. He played a good mix though — 90’s rock, 00’s rap and 10’s pop/​dance. I am counting down the days until I can come here to enjoy their half price cocktails again.
