It’s a bit of a drive from the CBD, but Forest Lake Riding School is a good place for experienced riders wanting to get back into the swing of things or beginners just wanting to know one end of a horse from another. The horses seem well looked after and Lynette, who runs the show, is friendly and helpful. For people just starting out, there is a deal of 3 weekly lessons at a reduced rate to help get a feel for the place at with lighter financial burden. The facilities are good and the instructors competent. Well worth a look for horsey types.
