I have always been intrigued by this place, right next door to one of my fave Indian restaurants, Persian Flavors.
King Shawarma is essentially a middle eastern halal takeaway place that also sells your usual take away fare, such as potato cakes and dim sims, as well as shawarma, middle eastern burgers, and halal charcoal chicken.
I was curious to exactly what a shawarma was. I ordered a lamb one, and patiently waited. What I received was like a cross between a kebab and a souvolaki. Slightly more flavour than a kebab.
As a big fan of kebabs, I really did enjoy it. If you are in the area and after a cheap reasonably healthy lunch, stop in and give it a go.
