This location has been occupied by many and various owners all serving up Indian food. Most if not all the previous owners have done a poor job and not have consistentcy. High turn around of staff and chefs Accordingly, this place is some what cursed by this locations previous owners, People assume it’s associated to previous owners. The current owner Jaqdish has been here for over 12 months He is the cook and owner of this establishment. The food is fantastic and best of all they will cater for special needs. Such as I prefer meat curries without meat… I like the sauce. He understands this and caters for me. I also don’t like Ghee/butter on my Naan. The cleanliness of the place is of a high standard. I’ve entered their kitchen and its spotless. Tables are white paper covered, with white table clothes underneath. Cutlery is standard fare. They are quick to change your plates and cutlery after entrees. The menu offers up all the classics. IMO their Dosa are the best in Footscray. Biriyani is also very good, the sambar(sauce) it comes with is great too. Cheap beer(a jug of Haywards beer cost $ 8). Thats right $ 8 for a jug of beer. I am astounded by this! Variant on what’s available(Haywards, Kingfisher, Carlton draught, or the new and exclusive Maharajahs) by their definition a jug is 3 bottles of beer. Oddly and somewhat a little unpleasing the jug is plastic. I highly recommend this place. Cheap Clean Friendly Quick turnaround I’ve been coming here since they opened. The owners name is Jaqdish.
