Harry Wragg is a vintage shop that sells both men’s and women’s clothing at affordable prices. When it first opened on Brunswick Street, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. Another vintage store? Really? But Harry Wragg is quite cheap($ 20) and does feel like an actual vintage shop. I see things in there that mother used to wear or would wear back then. A lot of clothing have interesting prints, perhaps too much floral prints for my liking, but there is a definite feminine quality to the women’s clothing. Love the skirts because it doesn’t matter how outlandish some of the prints are, they’ll go well cinched at the waist with a plain shirt. If you were looking for great value from your money, I’d definitely check out Harry Wragg. You won’t be disappointed and you won’t break the bank.

There’s a lot of text all over the front of this shop about what Harry Wragg is. I can tell you it’s a shop with men and women’s clothing that’s either vintage or new retro clothes, with a bit of a vintage attitude. I can see what ‘the everything’ writing was trying to do, but maybe that’s what made it so weird. I think it was trying to establish a personality but sometimes just seeing a personality is better than someone reading theirs to you. Anywho. The prices you could expect to pay are around $ 30 to $ 60 for tops and blouses. They have some nice leather gloves(just in time for summer) and crazy jewellery. Like the crystal rings. They looked good. The staff here were really nice and there would be something here for the person who likes looking 60/70s Aunt and Uncle chic.

There is something a little intimidating about Harry Wragg and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Perhaps it’s the well-dressed but slightly cold staff? Or perhaps it’s the overwhelming amount of vintage clothes that line the walls? Either way, I get a little nervous in here. You can find some great stuff in here — perfect for those that have a rockabilly edge to their style — it is all very ladylike, prim and proper. Imagine yourself in a sea of pastels, florals and polka dots and you’ll be somewhere close to the interior of Harry Wragg. While I haven’t yet found anything that suits my style, it is great to find a VERY affordable vintage store that sells good quality fashion. Is $ 20 affordable? Then get yourself down here!

With a catchy slogan like,“Harry Wragg likes spots. Harry Wragg likes dots. Harry Wragg has awesome shops” — plastered on the outside of this store, what’s not to like! After all, I love dots, spots and vintage frocks! Okay so I’m not as poetic as Harry Wragg but I certainly do share its passion for everything vintage. If you’re looking for ultra cool pre-loved and pre-washed garments(none of those musky smells) to add to your addictive collection from yesteryear, Harry Wragg is the place for you. Check out the huge range of constantly evolving vintage garb in unique fabrics and amazing prints. I love their assortment of hats and A visit to Harry Wragg is never boring or mundane and is often a whole new experience by itself. The staff are honest, quirky, loud and energetic and make Harry Wragg the store it is. But the best part is, everything is $ 20. Yes, that’s right, $ 20!
