It was my second times in this restaurant. When we arrived the waiter told us: «the wait is only 10 minutes!» But we waited 25 minutes to have a table. I took the mashed avocado and it was the best mashed avocado in Melbourne. The toast was very good, there is many avocado, the perfect association with lemon and many feta. I spent a very very good! If you like smashed avocado you need to try this dish here!

We came in early(around 8am on Sunday) and we had a good choice of tables. With a little one we chose the bench area out the back inside. Breakfast options are fantastic and portions are generous. We all had a great breakfast. I chose a pretty traditional poached eggs, bacon, avocado and mushrooms. One of our party had baked eggs, the other a humus and flat bread combo with egg. This is a great place, really friendly staff with plenty of space particularly for our toddler who wanted to walk around. Coffee was fantastic. Really enjoyed Archie’s. We’ll be back.

Really great brunch spot in Fitzroy! Easy vibes, delicious food, excellent presentation. Some dishes are more creative than others but quality is consistently well founded. I would consider ordering their specials, if available. Really enjoyed my roasted cauliflower salad, avocado toast and eggplant toast!

This restaurant provided a first class brunch experience on my trip to Australia. I ordered the crispy poached eggs at the advice of my waitress, and I sure am glad I did! The plate was a work of art and the flavors were harmonious. Absolutely delicious! It seemed as though was I eating the signature dish of a world renowned chef. You can tell this place really takes pride in what they serve. I also ordered a Bloody Mary, which was great as well. Service was friendly and attentive which made the visit here all the more enjoyable.

Archie’s was a great place to get lunch. They seemed to be a smaller restaurant but maybe that was just because they were packed and we weren’t inside long. We ate outside. It was a perfect day for it too. They look like they serve a wonderful brunch and we could have ordered from the brunch menu because if I remember correctly it ran until 3. We were just in the mood for lunch food. The lunch menu had a wonderful selection of meat, vegetarian, and vegan. If you are a vegan make sure that you ask about the buns. The standard buns that come with the tofu sandwich is not vegan. However, you can ask for the Ciabatta bun which is. My friend chose the tofu burger with ciabatta bun. She said it was very good. I chose the chicken sandwich. I was expecting a chicken patty but it was actually pulled chicken. When the server delivered our meals he informed me that it was his favorite thing on the menu. He was not wrong. It was very, very good. My friend and I also split an order of fries. They were perfectly seasoned and just the right size to split. I actually thing there would be too much if you ordered for just yourself. We had a lovely meal with wonderful service. I would definitely recommend this place for any meal. It has a great location with many shops nearby. It makes for a lovely afternoon of shopping and a good meal!

Full story: Archie’s gives you that really good and bubbly feeling that you are about to enjoy the most delicious breakfast ever(at least that’s how I felt right after taking the first sip of my flat white!) If I remember correctly, I even did a little dance in my chair for how good I knew these four entrees that we ordered were going to be! We walked to Archie’s little back patio that was extremely cute. We made ourselves comfortable and then, boom!!!, eating mindset kicked in(even though its going every single minute of every single day!) We first enjoyed some flat whites and cappuccinos, which were perfectly warmed. Then, we «accidentally» ordered four plates and did. not. leave. one. bite. I know, i know, it seems like I am always exaggerating, but I promise it was too good to even think about stopping. So as Archie’s says, yes I believe it is very possible to eat at «Archie’s all day!» The Oatmeal was delicious! I would definitely order it again. We almost did not order it, but we were so happy we did! The patio out back is lovely. The orange juice and coffee is worth it. Honestly, all the plates we ordered were worth it. The Godmother is pretty big so be ready to be overwhelmed! Ordered: Vanilla bean oatmeal– banana blueberry, coconut, almonds & maple Huevos sucios(dirty eggs) — tater tots, jalapeño spiked Monterrey Jack, avocado and tomatillo salsa, black beans, fried eggs, chipotle mayo add chorizo $ 4 + add a Dirty Mary $ 10 Crispy poached eggs– daikon kim-chi, edamame, enoki mushrooms, sesame dressing, sourdough toast The Godmother– fluffy scrambled eggs ‘Godmother chilli’, pain de mie roll add crispy bacon $ 4

Tasty food, decent size dishes, very friendly staff. We ate in the quiet courtyard out back and they turned the heaters on for us. Smashed avocado was a hot as well as the dirty egg with Korean rice cakes(spicy morning wake up).

Nice simple clean fit-out. Always seems super awkward getting into to this café its a bit of a bottleneck at the front door of staff, people trying to get a table, people trying to pay and folks waiting for takeaway coffee. Once you get past thats it’s lovely. I kinda get the feeling they are still yet to really find their stride every-time I have been here. It’s new, it’s still a little clumsy in regards to service and the vibe — the music must was stopped and changed at least half a dozen times the last time I was there. Kinda had me wishing they would just chuck a record on the idle turntable and just let it play out. I’m a big fan of the scrambleg egg roll they do. So much so that I went back again just for that dish. Both times I’ve added the bacon. At $ 14 it would want to be good and both times it has. Just a nice amount of spice to it. The coffee is acceptable, not the most beautiful looking coffee I have ever had, just solid every time I have had a coffee here. I’d be interested to grab a drink and a bite to eat here at night and test what they are like ‘all-day’.

Ordered the Salmon with poached eggs. Clean flavours with a nice Japanese twist on the salmon being that it’s cured in white miso and the sides re pickled cucumber and daikon. The serving was quite small however the waitress must have sensed my hunger and suggested I order a side of rye to go with it. Great coffee too and a yummy selection of daily locally made juices, I had watermelon and it was so refreshing.

First time here. Had the ‘dirty eggs’. Easily the dopest Melbourne breaky I’ve had in awhile. Killer. Coffee decent, wife had the lamb burger, it was dope too.

Archie’s is pretty new and has been drawing massive crowds on the weekends so we went for a midweek brunch instead which was a good move! Archie’s is in the old Southpaw space which is actually pretty big with a lovely courtyard out the back. They were pretty busy for a Thursday afternoon but not out of control & the staff were super lovely(one of the girls even caught a troublesome bee in a Tupperware container for me!) & everything came out in a timely manner. I had a braised lamb sandwich, my friend had a broccoli rabe sandwich & we shared fries. The sandwiches were seriously delicious & the rest of the menu was really varied & reasonably priced. The coffees were good too. There’s breakfast, sandwich and evening menus to keep you going all day! The vibe was really easy and relaxed. All in all I’d recommend Archie’s but I’d show up early on the weekend or be prepared to wait!

Oh Archie’s! I was so hoping you were going to become my Thursday morning breakfast place. The coffee this time round was much better than the last time but unfortunately the service and food were not as good as last week. They were a bit all over the place and also our breakfasts got almost dropped on the table and our waitress left before we could order our second coffees and then never came back. I had pumpkin purée with poached eggs this time and all the flavours were great but my eggs were still raw on the inside which kind of ruined my brekky. One of my pet hates is runny egg whites. No one wants snot for breakfast. My partner had the dirty eggs this time round and the chorizos weren’t crispy but he still enjoyed it, just a little less. The inconsistency means we probably won’t come back in a hurry. Let them tweak a few things first and maybe… try again in the future.

My housemate and I decided to give Archie’s a try since its brand new and it brunch menu looked very interesting. Mistake… As soon as we sat down, we ordered our coffees. Waited 10 mins. another waitress came to check on us and we gave our orders again.5 mins later, she came back and asked our orders again! Two regular white coffees took 20 mins … $ 4 each. We are getting hanger since its been 45 mins and our food hasn’t arrived. Meanwhile, I kept checking on the waiter and waitress(not busy) but avoid eye contact. So I got up and ask if it’s not ready we will just go to another place because it’s ridiculous. (there’s a couple went to Arcadia sat down when we got our coffee and they received their food in less than 20 mins) Anyways, we were told that the kitchen is extra slow today and they are working on it…(so…) your meal will come shortly… another 15 mins past… finally arrived. The coffee was alright(7/10)and the food is good(8⁄10)(probably bc we were starving and can’t really tell the difference) I had the dirty eggs which were pretty flavorful but for the attitude and slow service I would definitely not go back and rather go somewhere else.
