Mien salon spa

I have learned that Leticia is no longer at Mien and have had several fellow curlies contact me looking for her! While I cannot find Leticia, I have checked out Neel Loves Curls – review to come!

The location and feel of the place is cool and relaxed. I walked in chirpy with a grin on my face.
I walked out disappointed and a little upset that I was misunderstood. Despite the hip, chill vibe of the surroundings the hair stylist didn’t listen to me after explaining what I wanted three times over the course of the cut. I’ve thought long and hard about whether it was my fault for not communicating properly but I’ve never experienced such an acerbic reaction from a stylist before. I wanted short back and sides with a trimmed beard. Instead I got trimmed back and sides with a short beard. I was so happy and polite when I arrived, I’m not sure why it all went wrong.
If a hair stylist doesn’t give you what you ask for I can’t see why they should charge over $ 70 for men’s cuts.
Oh well. I’m going to find a place with stylists who listen before cutting away.

I have been going to this spa for about 18 months now. love it!!! Great atmosphere, awesome treatments and the staff are very friendly. Great range of treatments on offer and I always come away feeling sooooo relaxed. Would not go anywhere else.
