Xiang Hair Studio

I went from black to red while I was on holiday in NYC, and needed a good colourist to keep it up (after the fortune I spent I didn’t want it ruined first regrowth touch up!) when I got back to Melbourne.
I had a previous regular hairdresser, but see moved out of easy public transport access from where I lived, as well as hiring a not overly competent apprentice.
Anyway, back to Xiang Hair. A friend had been coming here for years, so suggested I give it a go (& she always had amazing hair).
I made an appointment with Tom and couldn’t be happier!
I’ve now been 4 – 5 times, a colour & blow dry each time, a trim 2 of the visits. The most it’s cost me was $ 186 for colour, trim & blow wave.
As well as how happy I am with my hair, the atmosphere of the salon is great, it’s big, light & your colour gets done while sitting at a big table in the middle, which I find much more comfortable than stuck at a mirror with a tiny table while waiting for your colour to develop.
Added bonuses are that it’s within a couple of mins walk from tram stop, parking right out front and subway next door if you’re coming straight from work & want something to eat while there :)
Oh and you’ll always be offered coffee/​tea/​water which comes with an arnotts 2 biscuit pack — I forgot how much I love scotch fingers & NICE bickies!
