History

Established in 2014.

Emerald City School of Dance may be something for you. We offer children’s dance classes that are imaginative and fun, where your child is introduced to the world of dance in a friendly and gentle way, but where they will still learn how to point their toes and stretch their legs :)

I’m also excited to let parents know that YES there is a way to watch the class! HOORAY! This will be possibly through a video monitor in the theatre foyer. If not that, we will find a way, as I think it’s important for parents to be able to see how their child is doing in class. How they’re progressing, if they’re enjoying it, and just for the simple love of watching your child learn to dance!

We have a beautiful space to dance in — an incredible theatre — located in Emerald, Victoria, at the Emerald Secondary College Performing Arts Centre (425 Belgrave-​Gembrook Rd, Emerald).

So far, we have toddler dance (3 – 5 years), children’s dance (5 – 7 years), tap dance and adults jazz /​music theatre.

Katherine H.

Business Owner

Katherine is an RAD and ISTD trained dancer, and dance teacher. She has danced professionally in Cabaret and in musicals overseas and has a degree in Music Theatre. She is also a mother of a very active 3 year old who loves to dance.
