To be honest, I hadn’t heard of Bamboo and Lily until my boss told me he’d been here the week before, and quite enjoyed it. Being a fan of Thai food, and loving trying new places, I thought I’d check it out. I used their online booking system(did that just after 7am) and when I hadn’t heard from them around 5, I thought I better give them a call. They didn’t know I’d even booked, so already I was filled with a bit of trepidation. However … upon entering the restaurant, I was struck with the stunning, modern décor. It just looked so inviting. The menu is plentiful and every dish sounded perfect. I ordered the chicken wontons, which were really good and the chicken fried rice, which they actually call a side dish, even though it’s perfect for one person. The food was tasty and fresh, and the chicken beautifully moist and tender. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good Thai food. The service is really nice(and they even managed to bring everyone’s meals out at the same time which I notice isn’t something every Thai restaurant is capable of, for whatever reason) and friendly. I also found the pricing to be really good and on par for the size of the portions. The only drawback is that the long and narrow dining area becomes very, very noisy when all tables are occupied, and parking is a real pain in the butt. I think Bamboo and Lily is probably nicer to go to in winter than in summer because on Daylight Saving time, the place wouldn’t be lit up as well as it was tonight and that brings about a really good atmosphere. Give yourself a treat and try it out :-)
