Just saying going to the Burger Lounge brings a smile to my face. I get so eager and excited for the potential, knowing what’s to come my way. I am always welcoming a visit there. Always. Not once have they left me disappointed or fretting over something that could have been better. So, let’s get to it. Their menu has so much going on. There’s chicken, lamb, fish, beef, plenty of vegetarian burger options and even salads, if you don’t want to go the meat route. Each of their burgers has so much variety, you could take some time just reading what’s in each one before picking. For me, the Greek burger stood out at once. Like I said, they have so much going on, packed with flavor from the different ingredients and toppings. The burgers are always juicy. The bun doesn’t fall apart on you. But it is the type of burger that requires two hands. You need to pick it up and then don’t stop eating until you finish it. Or else, it can and will be messy. You’ve been warned. The Greek burger was composed of lamb, olive tapenade, eggplant, feta, and everything together made this burger so tasty and delectable. It was perfect until the very last bite. The herbed chips are also worth noting, because they are so good. Now, I can’t see the reasoning behind why the other reviews on this establishment are so here and there and all over, all I know is that The Burger Lounge has always kept me happy.

Great burgers with alot of gourmet choice. Herb chips are great. Have to take one point away for the steep price though.

it’s not the best nor the worst… somewhere in between. At this Price point I’d expect a nice warm lightly toasted brioche bun to be included. but alas not. overall worth the trip to cure the curiosity. But prob not worth the return visit. By noon the place was packed!!! not bad for a sunny winters day.

First time experience proved a delicious one. Tried the ‘Lounge Signature Burger’ — organic beef pattie stuffed with havarti cheese, balsamic glaze & herb aioli. A really flavoursome burger well worth the $ 13. Shared a small serve of herb chips which were also freshly made on site. The menu is quite extensive with something for everyone including many vegetarian options and even a couple of seafood choices. Staff were friendly, communal tables or benches, inside or outside seating available. I’m sure I’ll be back again.

Nice enough inside. A big communal table in the middle; ok if you don’t mind sqeezing in with strangers sometimes. Other tables available, and also outside seating too. Could be a bit noisy beside the road but there’s not much the venue can do about that. Big selection of burgers, no surprise there. They are quite big so i usually end up pulling them apart to eat them. Standard issue fries and onion rings are ok for a different flavour hit! Can get busy at peak times; sometimes have to wait for a table. No big deal.

Yum! I’ve had a couple of the veggie options and the salmon burger and they have all been fresh and very tasty. My favourite is the Portabello burger but I look forward to trying out all the other vegie options soon. I’ve eaten in and have had takeaway and service is quick and friendly. I’m really glad this was set up in Eltham. It’s one of my favourite local places to eat.

Fresh ingredients, nice fit out and I don’t understand this burger. I was very much looking forward to this place, I ordered the grande and what was received was faintly reminiscent of a Grilld burger. Except as alluded in another review, the bun was hard and dense and thick, the paddy was thin and due to the large amount of other ingredients it tasted under seasoned. The place was super busy on Sunday and service was friendly though maxed out.

I have known this local burger bar since it opened(and watching it being fitted out before that). I was hoping we would get a decent ‘different’ burger/takeaway joint than the –run-of-the-mill: and it is! Pros: — generally very good to excellent food — freshly cooked while you wait — great chunky herb chips — good variety of tasy burgers — reasonably priced Cons: — can get very busy and limited seating: TIP: consider going when quiet — at opening at lunchtime or mid-afternoon or get takeaway — occasional quality issues with the odd time(unusual) that have been there where burger is not up to usual standard Overall well recommended

good chips. mediocre onion rings. sub par burgers — pattie is flat and over cooked. too much salad overwhelms flavour of meat. bread too hard and oversized. in «eltham» this is a good burger…

I’ve been a couple of times, and on both visits the burgers were big, fatty, moist, and messy two-hand fulls. The fries were Grill’d-like, but I didn’t find them as enjoyable. Obviously lots of people like the tasty, calorie-rich burgers. The Burger Lounge is full day and night. Not my style though. I love a good burger, but I prefer the Grill’d style. Don’t let me put you off though, as I said, The Burger Lounge is always full so they’re obviously making burgers most people love.

Being a semi quasi vegetarian, I don’t often meat, but when I eat it, it’s often in the form of a burger. The Burger Lounge manages to satisfy my meat cravings and leave me wanting more. I’ve tried three of their burgers(all meat ones) now, and have not been disappointed. My favorite would have to be the classic with blue cheese. Although put blue cheese on anything, and I’m sure I’ll love it. The burger buns are fresh and the meat patty a decent size. If you go, you have to order the Thick Herb chips which are definitely a highlight. I’ve also been told, that the best days to go are when the owners are working, as the burgers taste that little bit better.

I’ve done a lot of travelling around the world over the past ten years, and I can easily say that the burgers at The Burger Lounge are the best I’ve ever had in my life, anywhere in the world. You’re looking at around $ 15 for a burger and chips, so not by any means the cheapest, but definitely worth it! Beats any of the chains like Grill’d. Staff are friendly too. I’m just annoyed that I don’t live closer to Eltham, although, probably a good thing, as I’d be eating burgers every night :-)

Burgers here are a pretty hefty size and seriously give the other big gourmet burger chains a run for their money. They are all priced roughly around $ 10 – 13. I’ve tried a few different ones, including the Caribbean Fish, Portobello and Chicken Antipasto, which were all decent in their own right, but nothing beats a solid beef patty — the Lounge Signature was bloody good. The chips and the dipping sauces are pretty good but nothing too different to Grill’d’s and similar burger joints. The décor is modern, cosy and clean, and if the weather is nice they’ll open up the entire front of the store. Great burgers, if only they weren’t so far from home, I’d go way more often!

The first time I went here, I made the mistake of ordering my burger in a meal. When it came out, I realised how much of a mistake it was. The burgers here are huge. Not only are the huge, they are easily the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. The burgers are similar in style to Grill’d, but I find them just that little bit nicer. All the ingredients are fresh and organic. They even have the option of King Island Brie as the cheese, which added an excellent flavour to the burger. The chicken burgers are nice, but they have nothing on the beef burgers, while a friend of mine tried the steak sandwich and said it was one of the best steak sandwiches he’s ever tried. I myself have yet to give it a try. While they are on the higher pricing for a burger, they are easily worth it. If you skip the chips and just get a burger and drink, you are looking at around $ 15. I wouldn’t get the chips if ordering on my own, but they would be a great thing to have in the middle of the table if eating out with a bunch of friends. I stopped working around the Eltham area about 6 months ago, but still make the 30 minute drive there every month or two to grab myself a burger, it’s well worth the drive.

The Burger Lounge churns out, you guessed it, amazing burgers. This unassuming store front is easy to pass by, but Eltham locals in the know don’t find it so easy, not once they have sampled the delectable burgers. This is not your standard Burger joint, it has a fantastic menu. Its hard to go past the Lounge Signature Burger which is an organic beef pattie stuffed with havarti cheese, basted with a balsamic glaze, pickled cucumber, red onion, lettuce, tomato, relish & herb aioli and a sourdough bun, but when I do its for the Chicken Antipasto Burger: free range Lilydale chicken breast, char grilled red capsicum, roasted pumpkin, feta cheese, semi-dry tomatoes, basil pesto, rocket & herb aioli. But really I suspect everything on the menu is just as amazing. You will return for the thick herb chips alone. Herbivores rejoice as you can dine on the many vegetarian or fish options with your carnivores friends. Gluten free bread is available too. If you can fit desert then don’t miss the Pepoula(Albanian Donuts) or more then likely if you can’t fit desert order some as take away for later– so good you will thank me. You will be back, its just a matter of when.
