Ordered mutton once and everything was fine. Second time, nobody bothered to contact me. I tried to phone many times and no one ever answered the phone. So I went into the shop and they told me the guy who wrote the order in the book had quit his job and just walked out of the shop without letting anyone know about the order. So they pretended to be very apologetic and said I could have the meat on the house and they would get in contact with me. But sadly I never heard from them again… I think they are very dishonest and there must be troubles in the shop if the staff are walking out on the employee. Won’t go here again.

I always like those small businesses where someone is following their dream and this butcher is one of those stories. He knows where all the meats come from and has stories galore. Hearing about individual farms and grass-fed happy cows without bonus chemicals is nice but this is even one step above that. He sources meats from places he trusts. He was able to get some prosciutto from Italy and after a sample I was hooked. He recently had eggs in from a farm owned by some former band members of INXS — their hens roam around and the eggs are called«Rock Chick Eggs». You can see the butcher make the skewers or sausages and you know they are fresh and tasty. He’ll tell you what day to come back if you want something in particular. There are even imported products that are hard to get elsewhere. Quite a difference from a chain store and factory farming and you can taste the difference.
