OK, so Sydney has a lot of sushi joints, but some of them are considerably better than others. Sushi 2 Go is conveniently located in the Edgecliff centre, making it a favourite of mine for a quick snack on the way to the train, or to keep the wolf from the door after a long day at work. Their range of sushi is predictable: chicken, avocado, salmon, tuna, chicken katsu and prawns making up the bulk of their rolls. But this isn’t a criticism; the sushi is freshly made and it’s nice that they also sell edamame and seaweed. I especially like their rice paper rolls — generously crammed with vegetables and prawns/beef/chicken/tuna. They also have a few brown rice rolls for the super healthy. The service is quick and friendly, and you can see them making the sushi as you wait. It’s reasonably priced — not so cheap that it leaves you wondering whether the fish had fallen off the back of a truck, but not too expensive that you might as well have gone to a restaurant. It’s $ 3.20 for a rice paper roll, and the trays with a bigger selection of sushi bits range from $ 5 – 7. As I say, it’s a great little sushi joint which is a favourite of mine, and should be of yours too.
