I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place because of its location being tucked away in a small shopping center with multi-level housing. When we walked in and saw the fresh fish behind the counter we knew this was going to be delicious. We were looking for a good place to get some fish n chips but ended up finding one of the best tasting fish n chips we’d ever had. The serving of chips was massive and too much for me to finish. I would say the same with the fish but I was not about to let those go to waste. Not only was the food delicious but the staff was wonderful too. Both guys had smiles on their faces and were quick to bring us anything else that we asked for. When I complemented them on the meal they took the praise humbly. It was nice to have a great dish and no cocky staff. Next time I am in the area I will definitely stop by again.

Have been eating here on and of for many years. This place never changes. Fish is always on view fresh is not the word for their product. The fish looks like it has just been cleaned and filleted. Owners come and go but this place stays at the top. A remarkable place to eat. Recommend a visit to anyone.

OHMYGOD! This is some of the best fish an chips I have ever had. Definitely not the cheapest shark and spud vendor in Melbourne(and far more expensive than its Kiwi brethren across the Tasman), but worth every cent and more. I was on a date that turned into an all-day-hang-out-together session, and at some point in the middle we decided fish and chips would be good. What a wonderful decision it turned out to be. We ordered minimum chips, a grilled flake(gummy shark), fried flake, one fried wonton, and 5 calamari rings. Pretty well a perfect order int terms of size and amazing quality. The fried flake was delicious, with great batter. The grilled flake was even better, with no batter and a sprinkling of something tasty. Wonton good, so I’m told. Calamari rings were lovely, but unnecessary in the end. Glad I tried them though. I also go t a can of L&P, which is pretty well the best thing ever to come out of New Zealand. If you don;t know what L&P is, go to this place and get a can. Licensed(beer), so that’s nice too. Great staff. Lots of 1 hour parking nearby so you can take your feed to the Fitzroy Gardens and eat it a nice setting without needing to rush. Hot tip: little kids will be given a lollypop if well behaved and mum and dad think it is ok.

Pretty good fish and chips! This place is hidden under the Tribeca Apartments. It’s nice and clean with a good range of options. The batter was nice and crispy, the fish was fresh and the chips were exactly right. The only complaint I have would be the scallops — they were tiny and didn’t seem to be up to the same standard as everything else. They also sell a handful of NZ snacks and drinks.

I Live a little bit far to call this my local fish n Chip shop but this would have to be the best Fish n Chips around the CBD area. Two brothers own this shop and they are generally there doing the cooking and running of the shop and always a delight to talk to. The fish can’t get any fresher, other wise it’d be swimming. I usually get the flake and its the real stuff, none of this processed battered flake. It comes out moist and flaky just how you would expect it. Potato Cakes are crispy and golden and chips are cooked to perfection. As usual with a Fish n Chip shop they do throw in the odd extra potato cake and calamari in as well. I’m a huge fan of these guys never missing a beat or getting my order incorrect. Nice little fish n Chip Gem! Oh and they open Monday as well where most Fish n Chips don’t. So what are you waiting for??? Head out and give this place a go!!!
