A happening place in quickly revamping Dulwich Hill. Definitely a popular spot for weekend lunch — the place was packed when we went for lunch. I got the beef burger which comes with bacon and a fried egg so you call it a burger with the works ! Its a decent size but manageable for most people. On the other hand, the side of chips were huge and would be enough between 2 people. They also do freah fruit juices which come in some rather unique combinations. As we were there for quite awhile — I was also able to sample their coffees which were well brewed from a unique sounding blend of beans. With Dulwich Hill now connected via the Light Rail network, I’m sure there will be even more people swinging by here and any other eateries in the area.

The coffee is great here, easily the best in Dulwich Hill. However, I won’t eat here again, they’re neglecting fundamentals for flair. The food just wasn’t that great, it looked great, really well presented, but tasted bland and dense. Also it’s expensive. Gluten free bread cost $ 4 extra and then it was just the stuff from the supermarket, what?

I tried to eat here but they wouldn’t help me with my food allergy. It’s hard enough eating out with an allergy without people telling you to leave. I have never been in a restaurant or café where I can’t either pick a meal with some advice or small modification. Apparently it’s my fault. Lucky for me there are plenty of other options with kinder staff.

This is a great place for a weeknight meal or lazy weekend breakfast. They’ve just recently changed to a summer menu — the new vege burger with zucchini fritter is fantastic! I easily polished it off to the amazement of my friends. Their chips are always good, but I think their side salads could be more extensive/inventive. Oh, and the service is always fantastic — attentive to individual requirements and waiters always have a smile on their face!
