A pop up container serving bao practically on my doorstep? I was so there! There is lots of seating for those who want to eat at Bao Stop. Otherwise they can pack them to go, as I did. The bao — Peking duck, fried chicken, tofu — were all delicious, as were the sweet potato chips.

I went to the Bao stop pop up at the star lunar markets. Wow! My best ever Bao experience has been at Bao in london’s soho — but this was pretty darn good! We went with the Peking duck option and it was delicious!!! Fluffy sticky white bun, sticky Peking duck, some sprouts and cucumber as the perfect textural contrasts — yum yum yum!!!’ If you like my review would love you to follow me on Instagram @theboutiqueadventurer

Step aside Belly Bao, there’s a new bao in town! So these bao’s are inspired by Gua Bao which originated in Taiwan. Now, Gua Bao’s informal term is Taiwanese Hamburger… and seeing that I’m Taiwanese and love burgers… you know I had to check it out. Stopped by and ordered their trifecta $ 20 special. I asked what their most popular one was and they said it’s their fried chicken. I ordered 2 of those and 1 pork belly, which is a traditional one. Now the traditional one is mostly traditional… they didn’t have the pickles and they added mayo, but nonetheless it’s freakin goooood. Why? Cause they give you the fattest piece of braised pork belly ever. The fried chicken? That’s also pretty good too, but I prefer pork belly. The only downside is it runs on the small side… but I liked them so much I ordered another set of 3 to go, this time 2 pork belly and 1 fried chicken. I got 6 baos spent $ 40 here… WTF
