This newly opened organic grocery store and café used to be located behind the petrol station off Karrinyup road in Gwelup. Now they have some gorgeous new digs! Expending on everything they did before, they have some inventive and healthy lunch and dinner options in the café. There are also a lot of raw sweet treats. Their coffee is also pretty good. Then the rest of the space is a supermarket for the health and environment conscious, selling everything from organic quinoa to organic baby toiletries. The staff were really friendly, with a few asking if they could help with anything in the short time I was in the store. There’s no where to sit inside or at out at this stage, definitely more of a takeout café. I’ll be hitting this place up for lunch a lot from now on.

Dunn & Walton is a complete organic store, they go as far as undertaking the NASAA organic certification. There aren’t too many stores around Perth like this. In the way of offerings there are flours and grains, meat, fruit and vegetables, potted herbs and beauty products. They also do coffee and a nice selection of take away cakes and snacks. The Bare lemon slice was delicious! I went home with a jar of Moore river olives, apple cider vinegar and Bee Happy Honey from Toodyay. Worth checking out if you are interested in organically certified produce.

Previously Absolutely Organic WA. a small shop in Gwelup, Dunn & Walton opened this week in Doubleview and are bigger and better! With a mini-mart section of organic produce to include fresh fruit and vegetables and a freezer wall of frozen produce, they have a great selection. Also stocking organic beauty products, fresh herbs, books and cards. The take-away organic coffee counter seemed very popular and they do have a bench for people to sit and wait. Coffee is available Mon-Fri from 6.30am. I picked up a salad for lunch and had a choice of a few to choose from, $ 9 for a medium size tub. Parking is bit of a headache around the area so you do need to be patient. I appreciate that organic produce is farmed typically on small farms and crops take longer to produce and they refrain from using chemicals and growth hormones and this is why produce is more expensive, the pricing in this store does reflect this. On Thursday’s Indian street Style Tiffins are available $ 26 — suitable for up to 4 people. All gluten free & vegan, a typical menu includes; Onion Bhaji with chutney, Tomatar Sabji, Dahl Makhani + Coconut rice. Orders taken all week in store or by phone and pick up Thursday between 5.30pm-7pm. With my love for healthy food and the store being so close to home, I will be a regular for sure!
