Commencing his medical career in 1989 after graduating from The University of Newcastle Medical School, Dr Rastogi then served his surgical residency in Australia before traveling abroad to complete advanced training in cosmetic surgery.

Dr Rastogi was drawn to cosmetic surgery, where precision and finesse could be appreciated equally along with artistic flair. His cosmetic surgical training was intensive, training with Georgio Fischer MD, the father of liposculpture, Docteur Jean-​Luc Bachelier, Paris and Dr Anthony Erian, Past President of the European Academy for Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr Rastogi is a fellow of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery and holds procedure specific registration in breast surgery, liposculpture, facelift and cosmetic medicine.

His expertise lie in his extremely natural style of breast surgery, beautiful liposculpture and intricate skill with a needle.

He frequently comments in popular media and is an advisor to many organisations.
