Persian food in Doncaster just opened nearby, what do we do? We can walk but parking is easy, so we drove, A big conversion, big front windows, looking great, they’ve got live band on certain evenings. As it was newly opened; that evening the waiter is not as great as the boss, I think he was a trainee. The boss took over and recommended a few dishes to share and that’s our order. He was great and very hospitable in explaining his cuisines. Okay, I’m glad we’ve tried their offering, we’ve enjoyed some of their dishes, although still not a fan of Persian food yet. The highlight … I’ve eaten tons of rice in my life time so far, but this place got the most unique Aromatic Basmati rice, by far the best prepared rice we’ve ever had; crinkly, buttery, tasty and aromatic cooked to perfection. The other was their Shaahi, 2 skewers kabab: combination of Jujeh & Barg, served with grilled tomato, and aromatic basmati rice. Those meats were tender, soft, juice, tasty, melts in your mouth, aromatic as it was marinated and cooked to perfection. Desserts were VERY sweet, we need Black teas to balance it. They also serves Persian style Pizza too … we did not try it this time, next time perhaps. We would go back for another round of marinated grilled meats and aromatic Basmati rice. All the best with the business.

The WORST place in the UNIVERSE. Avoid like the plague!!! Over a two hour wait for sub-standard service, and finally an argument provoked by the aggressive owner trying to overcharge a large group $ 17 per head extra after an agreed amount made during a telephone booking days earlier. I would have preferred authentic Persian food rather than authentic Persian haggling. Never will I eat here again.

The restaurant has come under new management in the last month and a half. We made reservations for 730 on a Friday night. They forgot to put forks on our table. It took us one hour to be served. They forgot to bring us bread with our dip. The portion size is have reduced by 20%, but the pricing has gone up by 10%. The quality of the food has dropped by about 20%. They now have a 5% surcharge for the band. The restaurant used to be a hive of activity for patrons of Persian and Persian descent. Last night we were shocked it was like a ghost town
