What a lovely venue. We had a work function here and it went really well. Room to mingle, room to dance, a deck for some fresh air. Staff were friendly and the food was lovely with plenty of vegetarian options which was important for our group. The venue is easily separated into ‘rooms’ with upstairs and downstairs areas that can be sectioned off if your having a private function. Security were visable but not in the way or in your face which was comforting being a new person to the area. Plus for me personally was that it was across the road from my accommodation so once my feet hurt too much from dancing i went and changed my shoes! Overall a really poitive experience and somewhere id come back to for a drink or two with friends.

Used to be a go-to for both pre-footy drinks and work lunches over the past few years, it’s still nice to visit Platform 28 every now and again. You’ll rarely find it quiet(make sure you book for Thurs/Fri lunches) and the food and beer is on the pricey side for pub fare — although there are cheap food options like the wraps for those watching their coin. Never plan on going here, as honestly there is nothing too majorly exciting here, but always enjoy myself when here with a group.

This venue is very nice! Layout is neat and presentable! Food is very nice however pricey! Drinks and decent but not a lot of drink specials unless on certain events! This place is always busy! Located business district of docklands, so be sure to find collared shirt crown!

Had dinner here last night, I’m not a local the place was suggested by a few work peers. Great pub food and nice vibe. Wine list by the glass needs improving. Would be happy to go back for drinks &/or dinner when visiting Docklands.

Good spot for a beer if you happen to be in Docklands for other reasons. But very mundane for Melbourne. Good beer selection and food looks pretty good.

Popular but unexciting docklands bar. Food is okay. Drink selection is okay, but it’s all a bit generic and lacks soul. A suitable place for after work drinks, but not somewhere you want to hang with your mates.

This venue is one of the newer additions to the Dockland precinct and I am glad its here to stay. The bar food is very generous in portions and is great for large groups. During the day the lunch menu offers fresh modern Australian selections which are reasonably priced and great value for money. This venue stays true to the history of the site and brings a rustic historical charm that’s bound to win you over. On a Friday & Saturday nights this venue collects many afterwork corporates and also doubles up as the perfect pre-drinks venue for anyone who is travelling to Etihad stadum to watch a match or attend an event. Parking is a bit of a struggle if you are not already on your way to a match and have taken public transport, you may have to fork out for Etihad stadium under cover parking.
