Way over rated… limited beer choice, staff friendly but not well trained and unfamiliar with the items on the menu. Food was ok at best.

Visited here for breakfast this morning. What a lovely experience. Friendly staff very willing to accommodate food intolerances– much appreciated. Had the most magnificent gluten free corn meal bread I’ve ever tasted with avocado and cherry tomatoes. Wow! Great coffee and stunning views. What else can you ask for. I’ll be back.

Cargo is one of my favourite restaurants in Docklands serving delicious food and a fantastic range of beer — especially during Oktoberfest! They do a great value tasting paddle!
Now back to food! Standout dishes include their Pulled Pork Burger and the Open Souvlaki; plus their stone oven pizzas are thin, crispy and perfectly Italian. A step up from other local pizzerias. Smaller dishes of note include the Sliders, Chorizo with Corn Fritters or the Quinoa & Grain Salad.
Or if you are there earlier in the day they have some great brunch options and pretty tasty coffee (coming from a self proclaimed coffee snob).
Service is always really good and comes with stunning waterfront views.

One of the best Margarita pizza’s I have ever had! We got in quite late, kitchen was about to close but they still let us order, so we could not resist the wood fired pizza. We got the Margarita pizza, the garlic and Parmesan and manzerane and all were delicious. Ambience was great, lovely spot on the marina. Service was fantastic too, attentive and prompt. Would definitely eat here again and again.

This place has an amazing location on the water. Watch the boats go by. We saw lots of boats on Australia Day 2016, including Dragon Boat races.
Sat down at our table right away, no wait.
Jumped into the breakfast and lunch menus and selected pizza, open souvlaki, avo mash and eggplant to share.
The food was great, and it came out quick. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The eggplant was deep fried and delicious, I think this reached perfection. My avo mash was one of the best salads on toast I’ve ever had. I would love to go back and order this again.
Service was friendly and no nonsense. Water was refilled fast. There was a delay in taking our order, but this was made up easily with plenty of attention from their wait staff after that. Thanks for making us feel special on this special day.

Great breakfast. The Baked Eggs was a different and pleasing dish. The location is a great setting for a start to the weekend.

Good food, great ambiance, lovely service, this place has it all. Wandered to the Docklands on a Sunday evening and was looking for a place to dine. Stumbled into Cargo and was immediately welcomed by the friendly staff.
Since they are equipped with a traditional brick oven, we couldnt resist ordering a pizza. With cheese and prawns, it’s a combination that I wouldnt think will be on a typical pizza. However, the flavour combination is really great and the prawns are really fresh.
The sticky date pudding equally good. Not too sweet and the pudding was the right texture, moist and soft. Definitely a spot to go back again.

My girlfriend and I love this place. We live 2 mins from it which helps but honestly the food is great! Great variation on the menu, awesome burgers, pizza, salad and of course great beer!
Beautiful view over the harbour and such good value.

Une superbe vue, une carte variée, de la nourriture délicieuse, un service sympa, et une faible addition ! A vrai dire que demander de plus ?
Surtout, testez en apéritif, les croquettes bacon and pepercorn !
Pâtes, burger, steacK, dips… Nous étions une table de 8 et tout le monde a apprécié son plat
Bref, pour un repas romantique ou une simple tablée entre amis, né cherchez pas plus loin, c’est au Cargo, qu’il faut mettre les pieds !

Wonderful view over the harbor, good food, friendly service. Enjoyed lunch (a nice Souvlaki plate) and some great apple cider for two :).

It was a spectacular winter night down by the water. We were waiting for the fireworks to start and the football was on at Etihad so the waterfront was buzzing. Cargo invited us with warmth and libations in the form of, well warmth and beer.
It was 2 adults (if you include me) and 2 kids and we quickly decided on our selections. Mac and cheese, sliders, margarita pizza and fish and chips. The food came out quickly which was a good thing because the staff quickly became overwhelmed with the Friday night crowd. The order the second beer took much, much longer and required a couple of reminders.
The food was okay to good. I am an expert at fish and chips (yes, I have paperwork), and the chips were nothing to write home about. Neither was the fish. Don’t get me wrong, I ate it. You just think, nice restaurant on the water, the fish and chips should be automatic. The Mac and cheese got average reviews.
But a great place for date night. Great views of the water and the city. Maybe three stars? No more than 4.
