Diamond Creek is a very peaceful, quiet, out of town suburb. Nothing overly special or different about it, just a small, functional town. This is also how I’d describe Degani’s. Set in an old converted Fire Station, the whole place opens out onto the main street creating a very airy, bright space. We were there on a warm, overcast morning, perfect for sitting outside. The food is fine. It’s what you’d expect — eggs benedict, avo smash, omelettes. They were also serving a lovely breakfast salad special with grilled haloumi and poached eggs. I guess I’m sitting on the fence with this place, because it was just pleasant. Nothing overwhelmed me not did anything overly disappoint. If you’re driving through, this would be a great place to stop off, but I wouldn’t drive out of my way to get here.

I’ve been to Degani’s a number of times including my daughters 18th birthday. Have had breakfasts, lunches and dinners there and never had a problem. It is also wheelchair friendly which was a bonus otherwise my Mum would not be able to go there. Staff friendly, food good. Setting is nice. Can be a bit noisy but otherwise very good.

Really beautiful café. Converted from an old fire station. Went in for breakfast today with 3 friends. Approx 5 tables were occupied. Service was friendly but very slow. All of our coffees were burnt. The staff forgot the second two coffees and we had to go the counter to collect them. We all had bacon and eggs and they managed to burn one side of the bacon while the other side was raw. My scrambled eggs were bland. The only highlight was the thin sourdough bread and friendly service. Won’t be returning to this Degani’s.
