I feel like this is the place the cool kids hang out at. The smoothies, fancy and chill plating and the décor — it’s everything you expect from a café that’s beachside. Don’t be surprised to find a few surfers in their boardies chilling on the sofa seats with their blonde surfy hair and. You get the picture! It’s always packed, weekend or day especially during brunch hours so have a bit of patience for a table, it is totally worth it. What I like about this place is that it’s a pinch of healthy with a good serving of deliciousness. The cold iced latte is a must on a hot summer’s day. Their menu has plenty of gluten free options so it caters for everyone. Their crepes have both savoury and sweet and they execute the usual eggs well. I tried the sweet potato hash with smoked salmon, which was also super nice. A bit more of a pricey café but if you’ve got the extra bit, treat yourself.

The best breakfast spot we have found in Sydney. Goodness on a plate; clean healthy and honest food; coffee is good too. Service excellent, due to it being busy you may have to wait for a table so wait if needs be. Juices are heaven. I can’t compliment here enough go try and be mesmerised by the taste sensations that await you.

I really like the chilled out feel of this place. It’s on the end corner so it doesn’t feel as hectic as the busy crowds make the other cafes. They’re starting to add in some really cool things on the menu, I like that they’re getting some raw options/move away from the usual cheesy oily foods I expect in a normal Aussie café. I leave feeling full but light. I loooove their coffee, I’m privately fussy so when they get it right without having to do the awkward«no cappuccino is meant to be a 1⁄3 crema…» I appreciate it!

Love the coffee but the food well, that could be improved with some simple love and attention! Crepes galore(sweet and savory) and I’d probably come here for a hangover cure on. Sunday morning. The coffee on the other hand, that’s a different story. Definitely one of the better places for quality coffee Rating on coffee alone 4 out of 5

On a beachfront street with a dozen choices for coffee shops, this has been my go-to cup of coffee place in Sydney for several years.(The fact it’s a ten minute walk from our daughter’s home does add to the allure.) This friendly coffee shop has perfect outside seating, allowing one to enjoy the beach and surf views in this picturesque north shore suburb of Sydney. Sitting alone at a counter does not mean staring at a wall. It means watching surfers and beachfront life. Very relaxing. Locally owned, with a proprietary brand of coffee, it has delicious coffee. Best of all, it’s served in real cups, not paper. Love it.

Unlike many of the restaurants/ice cream shops along Dee Why Strand, Girdlers Grind is just a plain old coffee shop. Owned and operated by Manly legend Ryan Girdler, Girdlers Grind is a fantastic spot. Being a coffee shop, coffee is the café’s main gain, although the health freaks amongst us are able to get into an organic smoothie, while milkshakes, tea and hot chocolate also make appearances on the menu. It also does a mean banana bread, which goes all too well with the flat white. Yum! It has both indoor and outdoor seating, and is usually swamped on sunny days with yummy mummys and strollers, lazy uni students and surfer types. If the seating looks dire, no worries — head across to the park and sit in the sun. A really good way to start the morning.

This down pat has the best coffee(yes I say that with Bacino in the vicinity) along this Dee Why strip. This is a breakfast regular for us as the other half enjoys his runs from Dee Why to Long reef, my daugher loves the park and I wait for all the activity to finish and think about Girdlers Grind. The Rasberry and Pear Bread is wonderfully moist and toasted to perfect but its the coffee I lust for. It has its own signature blend whcih was created by Ryan Girdler and Scottie Callaghan(Belaroma barista of 2011) which apparently consistsof a complex 6 bean bleand adn is roasted for 15 minutes to develop sweetness with hints of coca and laced with spice. It is designed to cut perfectly with milk. And as a frothy, creamy moustache caffeine indulger it is the heaven crafted blend. Girdlers has outdoor and indoor seating with a little terrace for a platform view of all the activity. Its right next to one of the busiest roundabouts in the world. Neverhless with coffee this good you wont miss a beat here at Girdlers Grind.
