The Brydens Sydney Uni Flames specialise in entertaining you with an exciting showtime brand of basketball!

They are Sydney’s only pro women’s basketball team in the WNBL and play in the brand new $ 15mill air-​conditioned Brydens Stadium. The stadium is super close to the city and public transport. That’s not the only thing that is close… you are so close to the action that you can almost intercept a pass from one of the players (preferably the opposition team :)).

The Flames WNBL season runs from October to March each summer and is action packed with sweet passes, cross-​over dribbling and some epic shots from downtown (the 3 pt line for the uninitiated).

History

Established in 1981.

The Brydens Sydney Uni Flames, in various guises, have been in the WNBL competition since its inception.

The Flames have won the WNBL championship 3 times in its history and have been grand finalists on 8 other occasions.

The Flames have a who’s who of Australian players past and present. Current Head Coach and Hall of Famer Karen Dalton is joined by Opals legends Trish Fallon, Michelle Timms, Robyn Maher, Suzie Batkovich, Belinda Snell, Alicia Poto, Rohanee Cox, Natalie Porter and many more who have pulled on the blue and gold jersey.
