On every Saturday morning(some public holidays excluded) the Sustainable markets is worth checking out if the words — guilt-free, gluten-free, vegan, community, and sustainability mean a lot to you. I’m a big fan of it now. I especially love the Super Soy stand which sells delicious vegetarian laksa(which is very reasonably priced).

The wonderful month-long Crave Sydney Food Festival had little night markets popping up all over the place, and the sustainable food market at Taylor Square was probably my favourite. This should be here all Summer and I hope the council takes the initiative and instigates it– do it Council, pretty please! Every Thursday in October from 5 til 9pm, the tiny markets has cushions scattered around like a Turkish bazaar, and amazing food stalls– this is about quality not quantity. Street wood fired pizza, a crazy-looking paella, fresh pretzels, Serendipity icecream, vegan sang choy bao, and all while being serenaded by great live music(Elana Stone on closing night). That’s what I’m talking about… These markets were so much fun that a man brought his cat there on a lead.
