Pie Face

I had always avoided Pie Face previously. I’m not sure why. Perhaps because it subconsciously conjured up images of being hit in the face with pies, who knows.
But, in desperate need of sustenance the other night, I decided to chance it and get a sausage roll.
So I did, for about $ 4. «Pretty steep for a freakin’ sausage roll, Pie Face», I thought privately.
But when I bit into it and experienced what can only be described as the savoury delight upon my tongue, it all became clear to me.
It is a tad more expensive because it is, in fact, manna from heaven. And when you look at it that way, it’s really quite cheap!
After downing the roll of sausage in hasty and completely uncivilised mouthfuls, I bought another one. At my friend’s recommendation, I also bought two «stack-​ups». I’m still not sure what these are, but oh sweet jesus, are they ever-​so-​splendid. Some mixture of meat, cheese, and pastry, I think, topped with mashed potato.
Would repeat. Over, and over, and over again.
