Medusa Hotel

This is now my go-​to hotel in Sydney. The guys at the front desk really make for a fantastic stay and they are always there to answer any questions you may have. Luke was so friendly and he was great to chat to. It was a pleasure staying there.
The rooms are lovely and ours overlooked the centre courtyard which had a fountain and was delightful to listen to. Our room was spacious complete with microwave, sink and tea and coffee making facilities. Aesop bath products made it feel all the more decadent.
The hotel is in a great location and you are a short walk to Potts Point, Darlinghurst and Surry Hills. It only even takes around 20min to walk into the city so you aren’t far from anything. Plenty of good spots for eating and drinking nearby too! I loved it there. Thanks to Luke and the rest of the team for a lovely stay.

In short, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the rooms are very comfortable with everything you need, the service and cleaning is a very high standard, it’s an excellent location and it’s dog friendly!
Staff — I think the staff is the best thing about this hotel. From the moment I called to enquire about a reservation to checking in late to making odd requests to my daily encounters and chit-​chat with them to exposing them to my dog — they were really helpful, friendly and accommodating. Nothing was an inconvenience. Just the opposite in fact. They were also really funny, personable and uniques. They made my stay one to remember. Love the staff here.
Rooms — They have very comfortable rooms with all the extras you would find at at five star. I managed to get the last dog friendly room, which was their smallest because my booking was so last minute. But it was still very comfortable. And the guests I ran into regaled me of the spacious rooms they had — both dog friendly and non (the dog friendly rooms are on the ground floor with access to the courtyard). The courtyard is wonderful and was very pleasant to step out into each day.
Clean — Everything was clean and tidy. I never had any issue with cleanliness!
Location — Awesome! A great spot in Darlinghurst with plenty of bars, restaurants and cafés right nearby. The staff were also ready with recommendations and tips. Parks and convenience stores close and a plenty.
Dog friendly — It’s so hard to find dog friendly accommodation and often when you do find a dog friendly hotel, it’s always a bit reluctant with loads of qualifications attached. Not so here! They were so accommodating and helpful, and friendly to my dog.
With dog or without — I highly recommend Medusa. I’m certainly coming back!

Fantastic hotel in a great neighborhood. Could have stayed here for two weeks comfortably, because the rooms are large with a sitting area and table. Plus the fridge, kettle, sink setup works perfectly for preparing a simple breakfast or snack.
The guys who run the place are warm and helpful, with tips for great restaurants just a block away. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in Sydney.
