This place is usually busy on weekends, so ur lucky to get a table. The pizza is pretty good here although the pasta is average. The service was good, friendly and attentive. Very popular place for PLC private school mums to go and grab a bite to eat. Mary t

We’ve been living a couple of blocks from Mario’s, on the same street, for over 22 years now. On the day we moved in, we all went there for dinner. We’ve been fans ever since, and it’s been wonderful to see how what was a smaller establishment on our arrival has gone from strength to strength, been extended and refurbished on a couple of occasions, and has now become one of the iconic pizzerias in Sydney’s vast Inner West region. Mario himself is still there every night, preparing the beautiful fare and cracking the whip, and his large team helps provide that comfortable, fun ambience that(along with the awesome pizzas and pastas) draws diners from far and wide, as well as countless locals like us. Perfect spot for both intimate dining out, or for larger family, work and other groups to enjoy!

This has been our family pizzeria for as long as I can remember. The food is excellent(I was craving the Napoletana pizza when overseas); bear in mind though that the venue is loud(might be the tiling? either way, it’s louder than most places), they don’t take credit card and don’t deliver

I’m not exactly sure why the young chap below me says Mario’s has«amazing scenery» — it’s right next to a train line and it faces a dilapidated Pavlova shop. It’s also on the corner of a narrow road so if you dine al fresco in the evening expect to be blinded by high beams every so often. The pizza’s not groundbreaking, a bit dry but pleasant enough. Service is a little aloof but efficient. Mario’s real strength is in it’s yummy desserts — gelato, sweet calzone and Nutella pizza. Mmmmm, delicious.

The food is spectacularly ordinary and the service is excellent(if you like being insulted by restaurant staff!). Convenient location but you have car lights shining straight into the restaurant at night and it’s right next to a busy train line. Otherwise it’s okay.
