This place used to be Bundu Khan, one of my favoruite Indian joints, but it’s changed hands. And the new guys? Well, they’re doing a bang-up job. The curries were sensational, with the vindaloo being the pick for it’s pull-no-punches spice kick that refused to cater to the Anglo-Indian palate and was all the better for it. The dhal was great, delicious and slightly al dente and just the way I like it man, when spooned onto a big fluffy garlic naan and garnished with acha(pickle) and some sweet sweet mango chutney, it’s basically a Bollywood movie in your mouth. Speaking of which, there’s a TV showing never-ending Bollywood flicks which sounds a bit out of place in a restaurant but was actually a great topic of conversation. Oh, and it’s BYO, which is clearly the best.
