Bavarian Beer Table BBT-Import

I had the worst consumer experience I have ever had with BBT import. I purchased a table from them through their website. The delivery was arranged with me for a Friday 9−5pm…they will not give you a narrower time frame. I called the delivery company in the morning to let them know I had a meeting for one hour that day. However, I ended up missing the first delivery during that hour. The delivery company left me a card to call them and that they would do a second delivery attempt before the item is left at the depot for pick-​up. I rescheduled for the next Monday (cancelled everything for the day so I could be home the whole day as the drivers don’t call to give any warning they are on their way). Midday Monday, I called the delivery company to verify they had my table on a truck for delivery and was told that unbeknownst to me, Simone from BBT had called the delivery company Friday afternoon and cancelled the second delivery without ever informing me (her customer) and with no explanation. Of course, I called BBT, feeling upset as I had planned to be home ALL DAY for this delivery, and informed Simone’s partner who would never let me fully explain why I was upset. He continually interrupted me and spoke in a rude tone of voice as though this was my fault. This escalated the situation to a place where we were both with raised voices.
Next, the delivery company informs me that now BBT has agreed to a second delivery attempt. We finally get the table only to discover it is damaged. The wood was smashed in two places quite noticeably. BTW, the table had almost no packing material around it. it was mostly just the thin cardboard box protecting the corners and sides of the table.
We informed Simone who originally said she would have this table picked up and a new table dispatched (two separate deliveries). We agreed to this though, as we ordered this table for a reason and needed it soon. Once a pick up time was agreed upon, Simone changed the wording of her agreement to now she would only offer a refund as she decided delivering a new table was too difficult. At that point we made a decision to keep the damaged table because we needed a table and frankly we were done engaging with this company. I give this company zero stars for customer service and poor communication.
