Craigie Leisure Centre

I can’t fault the pools here. They’re always clean and there are plenty of life guards around. If like more family changing by rooms but that’s becoming less important to me now that my kids are getting older.
You can spend the day here, hanging out with friends, BBQ a few snaggers and watch the kids having fun :)

Just signed up for membership here. No complaints so far apart from the having to book the treadmill which i have a habit of forgetting. Hasn’t been busy while i go at 7.30am but have to deal with frantic parents trying to get their kids to swimming classes during holidays in carpark is the worst.
Personal trainers always on hand for quick queries.

A significant refurbishment has occurred here since the mid 90’s. Its has everything you could possibly need for a fitness/​leisure centre. 50m outdoor 8 lane pool, waterpark, indoor 25m heated multilane lap pool, kids pool and a huge gym. Definately worth a visit or a membership for the fitness enthusiast.

if you’re aquatic and prefer to swim outside? then the blue waters of Craigie’s outdoor pool fit the bill. water is warmed geothermally meaning you can expend calories guilt free, so you can consume calories, guilt free, in the knowledge your largest carbon footprint is probably your expelled air while cranking out those laps. Craigie Leisure Centre also has an indoor 25m lap pool and shallow walking and kids pool. There’s gym, courts etc. Staff are helpful. The venue is very family friendly. The outdoor pool is relatively new ~ 12mths or so and having spent many years, in different countries in many pools. this pool for the (serious wannabe!) swimmer ranks highly for me. The centre café has good coffee and the food offer is far from agricultural. I luuuuv the savoury muffins. after a hard session.

Craigie Leisure Centre offers a great range of facilities. They have swimming pools both indoor and out. A fully equip gym with all the latest modern equipment, both weights and cardio. Group fitness rooms providing Yoga, Pump, Spin, Combat, Step and more. There’s also a Indoor Basketball/​Netball court as well as a spa, steam room and Sauna. So basically anything you would be looking for in a Gym.
They do it all well too. Their swimming pools are decently sized there’s a 25M Lap Pool indoors, a 50M one outdoors plus some fun filled leisure pools for the Kids both indoors and outdoors. The group fitness rooms are nice and big, they need to be to because they are very popular especially body pump. If you are planning on doing a class I would suggest getting there at least 15minutes before the class starts. The classes are popular because the trainers are good, they are loud and bubbly and push you to your limits, the way a class should be.
The Gym has all new equipment, everything you can think of. A word of warning though they have major rush periods on the weekdays before and after work hours, you have to «reserve» the Treadmills and Cross trainers.
The prices are fairly average price of a Gym these days but the facilities are above and beyond, looking for a new gym, check Craigie Leisure Centre out.

I have been a member of Craigie gym for almost 2 years and use it 5 – 6 times a week. I am not the biggest fan of the gym unless you go during the day because I hate having to book equipment and wait to use the machines. However, my multi access pass allows me to use the swimming pool and go to all the classes.
I changed gyms for a few months and I really missed going to the classes as they are by far my favourite way to work out — combat (mix of boxing and kicking and cardio) and spin class (hill climbs and speed work on bikes) give you a great work out, let you release any tension and are fun to work out to as they incorporate great music. The 6am classes are great during summer as you can get your work out over and done with before the heat hits, and your in time to make the most of the beautiful sunny days. I will continue you be a member here as they offer great discounts for students and it is very convenient.
