Don’t visit this shop for a puncture repair… The extremely rude staff advised me I’d have to book it in and they didn’t do repairs on the weekend. Asked if I could leave it and pick it up next weekend? Sure, that’ll be a $ 5 a day fee for my bike to be «stored» there! !! Come on guys. Get real. Never setting foot in the store again.

Pretty decent place. My wife and I bought 1 bike new and got an off-brand one serviced. The staff were friendly and helpful; as relative ‘laymen’ their use of technical language was quite accessible and it didn’t feel like they were trying to confuse or con us. Their prices were competitive and so far the products are pretty good. One small issue; they use a text message alert to let you know when your bike is ready to be picked up. This is fine, but on one occasion they forgot to text us and we ended up waiting an extra day before I called to find out. Had no worries the next time though.

Reid cycles is the most affordable vintage bike option I’ve seen in Brisbane. They sell direct from the manufacturer so can provide better prices to the public. I get the feeling they’re new, because when we were in there they were about to get a visit from the big boss to see how they were doing. And as far as business goes, great. Their prices beat the rest, they have quality parts and are generally friendly. Generally friendly, what a funny term! I mean, they’re nice. They’re definitely not ‘proper’. But they’re nice enough. As Tenniele said, our bikes weren’t ready when we got there. After organising a specific time at the end of the day to pick them up. We don’t live on this side of town, so it wasn’t convenient to be there. While they apologised, all they had to do was give us a phone call during the day. All the bike’s come with free lock, pump, bottle and bottle carrier as well as free check ups on the bike for a year. It’s a great deal. Great quality. If you’re looking at a bike take a look at these guys first.

I’ve had this lovely image in my head for several months now of riding along the Brisbane River on a vintage style bicycle, complete with a wicker basket on the front with adorable little dachshund inside. Sadly — most of the vintage bikes I looked at online and in shops were a bit out of my budget as my partner and I both wanted one(of course) We were trying to save up funds and getting a little disheartened as it was shaping up to be very expensive. Then one day my lady stumbled across Reid Cycles online and their collection of vintage style bicycles for decent prices! We popped down to the store and picked out the frames and paint finishes we liked and then the very next day we picked up our completed bikes for an awesome, affordable price. The staff here were helpful and down to earth, helped us fit the bike rack to the back of the car, and advised we got 12mths free servicing and a bonus essentials kit(includes lock, water bottle, tyre pump and light) to ensure we’d have everything we needed to complete the dream… Except the dachshund — luckily I already had one of those at home. My only complaint is that the bikes weren’t quite ready when we went to pick them up, however they apologised profusely and explained they had a staff member go home sick that morning so I was willing to forgive.
