I would have taken a photo of the Chef’s Special for the day; the Chicken Parna with chips and salad but it wad so delicious it was eaten before i thought of a review. I am a hot chip fiend. The hot chips here are fantastic. Ilk probably get a bowl before I go.

Coorparoo Bowls Club — who even knew it existed? Tucked away down a side street, like so many bowls clubs, it’s seen better days and like so many bowls clubs, it’s tried to re-invent itself and has succeeded. My visits have always been on a Sunday when they run a Sunday session in the bar and surrounding grassed areas. There are people playing barefoot bowls but you don’t have to slip your shoes off to have a good time. There’s a live band every Sunday arvo, people relaxing on picnic blankets they’ve brough along, kids running around and the most hilarious assortment of rescued Council Cleanup furniture I have ever seen. It’s a bit like visiting the Powerhouse on a Sunday arvo except the pricers are cheaper and you can get parking. Get on in!
