The Kebabs are huge and cheap but not only does it sell kebabs it’s a full Turkish restaurant with very affordable prices. The dips and Turkish bread are on points and no matter what you get here it is bound to be quality. This place is dry serving non alcoholic beers for religious reasons. The food here is incredibly cheap for what you get and the best of quality. Does get super busy at night so make sure you make a reservation, if you don’t want to eat inside you can always get take away.

With the option of eating in or takeaway, the atmosphere inside Roxy is crowded and loud with a lot of hustle and bustle. Because it was a rare sunny winter’s day, we opted for their take-away option of two lamb kebabs to enjoy at an outdoors venue. I was surprised at just how busy and packed this place was. But, despite their busyness, they were lightning fast with getting our order ready to go. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted, and everyone seemed eager to help. In fact, we walked past about 5 of the staff just standing in a line waiting for something to do. To the kebab: At under ten dollars each, you are getting a whole lot of food! It was HUGE! Eating it, I kept hoping that I was getting towards the last portion, this kebab went on for ages. My complaint is that I do wish if it had more sauce. I say this because out of the whole kebab, I only got a mouthful of kebab with sauce, and after that mouthful, the kebab just tasted dry(because it had no sauce). Now, I didn’t want sauce oozing out of it’s sides or anything, but I did want more than a teaspoon; especially with such a large portion size. When I was done, this kebab left me feeling so guilty. It was a large heavy meal and it made me want to do laps around the airport just to get rid of my guilt from eating it.

I was looking for a quick bite to eat before heading off to a meeting. Didn’t expect much when I walked in, but the amount of people sitting inside gave me the impression that it was good. The food was great, a small plate is filling enough. I’d definitely come back.

The fast paced atmosphere of Roxy Kebab always has me coming back for more. From the moment you walk in, you can smell the aroma of succulent meat being grilled amongst other things. Once you have been seated, you have the choice of various options. I always order a mixed(chicken and lamb) shish with Cacik(yoghurt and cucumber dip) and hommous. With the food, comes a steaming basket of fresh turkish bread, which melts in your mouth. The meat comes served on a bed of rice, with a salad on the side. The servings are generous and don’t be fooled by the name — Roxy Kebab is a nice place to sit down and eat. This is not like a kebab van or take away shop, although they do have a take away option. While Roxy Kebab is located around an hour away from my house, my constant cravings make the drive seem minuscule. I always walk out satisfied and ready for my next visit.
