This used to be my local chicken and chips shop, and although they’ve changed the gravy a few hundred times, they certainly haven’t changed on quality. When you get chicken and chips here for your family, when you order a small chips, you get what looks like a medium(and then you find another serve of medium chips at the bottom of your paper bag). The chip quality is second to none. Large, chunky and you literally cannot stop yourself going for more like your average seagull until they’re done. Their gravy has changed a lot over the 5 year period my family have ordered, and they never quite seem to get it right(too peppery at the moment for me). The chickens are fine, but aren’t overly huge. As Goodwood Road traffic heats up with raging Adelaide-ians around 5.30−6.30, so does the shop, so you can expect a varied waiting time, potentially up to 18 minutes on a bad night. As a loyal and semi-frequent customer, this is still my favourite chicken and chip shop!

A very busy Fish and Chips store which can only mean the food is good here. It is indeed and I can vouch for it as we take out every fortnight!(I’m a stickler for home cooked food). The fish is absolutely fresh and buttery and they have an excellent variety of salads to choose from. From a potato salad, tabouli, chickpea salad, coleslaw and more, expect good and large servings here. You can eat here, or al fresco style(there were probably 3 tables) in the sun or do what most of us do, get a take away. They also do roast chicken here with stuffed herbs and take orders for Christmas, New Year and cater.
