A handy little café if you are in the area and need a decent coffee. In a sea of dumpling restaurants and Asian grocery stores it was a welcome sight to see Café Gardenia as I had a very important man with me in much need of a cappuccino and 2 sugars, stat. This café reminded me of similar family style greek cafes in Preston and Thornbury. A huge array of cakes and biscuits, that have that«homemade by yiayia» feel about them. There is indoor and outdoor seating and whilst not about to win any design awards, they are functional and in use by a steady stream of locals. I can thoroughly recommend the black forrest cake and my caffeine loving companion says ditto for the coffee.
