Usual fast food dilemma chips not salty enough. Wait too long. Teenagers throwing together your meal and you waiting eagerly and hoping it’s the right meal. You get home to find its not even what you ordered as usual. Eat it anyways unsattisfied. Swear you’ll never go back there but see yourself there weeks later repeating the whole sad process only this time you quickly check your order and don’t leave till it’s what you paid for. I said Mountain Dew not Pepsi.

Definitely not the best KFC restaurant. I used to come here a lot but I’ve just had enough of under-salted and hard chips and funky tasting chicken! I would prefer to take a 10 minute drive to go to KFC in a different suburb, thanks!

Ran out of hot and spicy thighs at lunchtime on a Monday. Seems a bit ridiculous. Currently waiting the 25 minutes it takes them to cook. Expecting a lack of salt on the chips like the other 5 times I’ve been here… wondering why I bother.

I’ve been here too many times for the one star to remain. And it was quite valid at the time. They were always incredibly slow, and the minimum wage teenagers just throw together the food sloppily in between picking at their pimples and discussing how wasted they got last night/will get wasted tonight/are currently wasted. That’s fast food for you. Well, to give credit where credit is due, they’ve rejigged their serving procedures and actually get through it all at a reasonable speed now. Sure, you can still have a bit of a wait on a busy night, but it’s a far cry from the 35min specials back in the day. I’d almost take it to a three star, because hey, it’s pretty average, but the number of times I see their underage employees sitting right outside the main door, or worse, at the bus stop nearby, smoking, ugh. I would like to use my local bus stop without having to stand a few metres upwind from the KFC employee having a puff. Especially when it’s raining.

There is nothing wrong with this KFC. That’s about the best I can do. There are only two fast food drive thru’s in my local area, and it’s either this or McDonald’s at Toombul. But that’s actually on top of the shopping centre so a little more annoying than this one. Be careful, it’s difficult to turn right out of the street onto Sandgate Rd, so if you’re heading North you might want to backtrack to the lights. Otherwise the quality is of any KFC. Chips, that for some reason always seem a little off. Discoloured and soft. But it’s fast. And it’s food(okay so that’s up for debate). Nothing calling me back here. Actually more pushing me away. But that has nothing to do with Clayfield KFC, simply the chain itself. Let’s see how long it takes me to get back here though…
