Claremont Quarter

My favourite shopping mall from the first moment I stepped foot on it. I just felt very calm and happy everytime I’m at Claremont Quarter. It definitely exudes class, elegance, glamour and prestige. :)

Claremont Quarter is enormous! While I was sad to see some of the old shops on this site go, there are now soooo many more options, particularly many more cafes and high end shops.
The best part about the Quarter is the carpark. Electronic signs show you how many bays are available and where they are, and even better, each bay has a light above it so you can see at a glance which bay is free: the available bays have a green light and those that are filled have a red light (providing that the car has parked properly — I have seen an instance of a car not pulling in enough to trigger the light to change). Every carpark should have this system — it makes it so much simpler to find a parking spot!!! The sheer volume of cars can make it a little difficult to get in and out, but if everyone is courteous then it is not a problem (and I have generally found cars to be courteous and let people out). Parking is free for the first 3 hours.
There are soooo many shops and cafes on several levels, and there are some really luxurious rest areas to sit down and rest or wait for someone else while they shop.

I love Claremont quarter! It’s different to garden city and carousel, upper middle class and has a unique European feel as said by another reviewer :). I love that it has a range of boutiques and stores that you don’t normally see in other shopping centres, yes it’s pricier but If you don’t mind it then it is worth coming here! It’s a very clean and vibrant shopping complex.
I usually come on weekends when it’s busy so I haven’t had the chance of parking inside I just park on a street nearby I don’t mind the walk.
Overall I just like this shopping complex because it has something for everyone, it has stores that are different to others and I feel it’s very convenient for me :)

Claremont quarter is a really nice shopping centre with an expanding range of stores within and outside the centre. The centre is always super clean and boasts some clean and nice bathrooms which is always a sign of a nice shopping centre.
The centre has more of the high end expensive shops such as Marcs and Sheridan but also have the likes of smiggle and a supermarket.
Both the underground and tower carparks offer three hours parking free which is normally enough to check out the shops and complete the groceries.
There are several seats/​couches on the upper level if you need a sit down and are not tempted by the fairs at Atomic or one of the other many eateries.

Great shopping experience here on Sunday! It definitely feels not like your ordinary shopping centre such as garden city or carousel here.
The layout has a very European feel, with trendy cafés and shops along the hallway. Shops tends to look way more presentable with high ceilings and glass walls. The brands are a bit more up market too, which means things are slightly more pricier but expect that for a shopping centre like this.
I love the grocery store at the end of it too. Selling fresh produce and goods and everything looks so much fresher and appetising.
Parking can be a pain but I sort of got use to this as parking in perth generally sucks.
Overall, great place to shop and dine, will def come here again if I’m around the area.

Claremont Quarter is an excellent shopping centre! Oh yeah!
I love lots of things about this place but particularly that there is undercover parking (and plenty of it) that is complimentary for up to three hours. A great balance here between your daily shops (supermarket, chemist etc) and once-​in-​a-​while-​blow-​the-​credit-​card shops.
A good size Coles and the sensational Jack’s provide easy options for groceries and ready-​to-​serve meals. Jack’s are open until 10pm and have some of the freshest fruit and veg around, most of it is local (WA). Within Jack’s (formerly Claremont Markets) there is a Baker’s Delight and a well stocked cheese/​deli store and BabyCakes have cupcakes, treats and coffee (if you happen to be there when they are open!).
You’ll find your usual everyday needs like a chemist, liquor store, hairdressers and newsagent (this newsagent has the traditional range of cards as well as an extensive range of boutique cards for a range of occasions and gifts).
There is also a good range of mid to high end fashion stores, including the likes of Sportscraft, Cue, Marks, Forever New, Dotti, Portmans, Saba, Metallicus and Alannah Hill. You also have a range of shoe stores including Wittner as well as sports (Rebel Sport) and tech (JB Hifi) stores too. David Jones in a compact format is here on two floors and there are some good choices with homewares stores too. Be sure the check out the second floor as there are many good stores on this level as well.
Everything is always kept clean here, the toilets are a pleasure to use, and things are well laid out with a lovely natural light through most of the building.
I think Claremont Quarter has something for every budget.

There’s a few nice shops here and it is good to have a shopping centre in the local area, but the car park is ferile (I end up shaking my head EVERY time).

I really like Claremont Quater– it has all the shops I enjoy shopping at and so is an easy place to visit when I want to browse among a variety of shops. It includes shops such as JB HiFi, Transit, T2, David Jones, Coles, Dotti etc. I personally think it has something for everyone!
It also has some good eating joints such as Atomic and Yamato sushi train– both of which I love eating at!
It does have a number of expensive shops but also had the cheaper shops to accommodate for poor students like me :)

Let it be said that being American, I am continually unimpressed by shopping here. BUTTTTT, Claremont Quarter is the closest mall to my house and is pretty impressive, for WA. It definitely gives off the upper middle-​class vibe. No Target, or Kmart, but thats totally OK with me!
Other than that, you have most of the Aussie designer shops here… I want to be, but I’m just not impressed with Australian fashion :(Although I do TOTALLY LOVE AUSTRALIA!!!

Nothing wrong with a bit of boutiqe shopping, love everything about Claremont, the food, the wine and most importantly the shoes and a clothes. I could happily walk the strip of claremont for the rest of my life. HA HA

An upmarket shopping centre in the heart of Claremont. The walkways are spacious and clean, it is so nice to walk through. A good place to shop with Mum.
There are a lot of high end brands however there are some not so expensive places to shop such as David Jones, Dangerfield, French Connection, JBHIFI and Forever new. The sales when they are held are pretty good.
There are two supermarkets and a pharmacy inside. A few coffee places such as the yummy chocolate maker, Koko Black. A great place for a cheap lunch is Grill’d Burgers.
There is a lolly store, I forget the name but it also sells teas and herbs. I searched high and low for some dried lavender to make my Lavender and honey chicken dinner dish and found it at this place.
The car park underneath (free for 3 hours) and surrounding streets can be congested at times. I normally park on the other side of the train tracks and walk over, saves a lot of time.

I don’t know why I don’t shop here all the time there’s everything and it’s such a nice, refresh and clean shopping centre!
All the designers are here, plus the every day shops that everyone needs.
I love that there are quite a number of unique shops here, unlike the standard same old shops in every shopping centre around Perth.
I’m going back there on my next shopping day!

I’m not the kind of person that loves to shop indoors. I’m more about heading to the high streets and central malls of cities. Neither am I the kind of guy that particularly enjoys looking around pricey couture stores. Considering this, Claremont Quarter is actually a fairly pleasant place to shop. Convenient onsite parking, a wide range of shops (including supermarkets, electronics and CD stores) alongside the heavy bias toward high-​end fashion and an airy design make it a pleasure to walk around. It reminds me of Melbourne Central and Canberra Centre; both very long shopping centres that feel almost like extended (if overly corporatized) high street shopping precincts. While there’s none of the cutting edge fashion offerings you’d expect in Melbourne Central, more conservative-​minded fashion forward clothes-​shoppers will find plenty to like here. With close proximity to the more traditional Claremont stomping ground of Bayview Terrace and its’ surrounds, you can easily waste a day here spending every cent you’ve ever earned. Not my favourite type of shopping experience, but it’s done very well here.

The new development of Claremont Quarter has completely revitalised the suburb.
For years living in Cottesloe we have been starved of good shopping options and have had to trek to Karrinyup for stuff.
Trek no more this place is epic. Obviously a lot of the Quarters shops are targeted at women’s fashion but nevertheless as a dude there’s still plenty of stuff.
Almost all the clothes stores i have a gander at as I wander past not to mention all the other shops like JB, DJs, and so on.
There’s a handful of cafes floating around and plenty of places to get food and drinks.
Just super stoked they built it!

Oh CQ you are the most high end and stylish shopping centre Perth has and unlike the many others you actually look lovely, have different, interesting and beautiful stores and the eateries that you house are varied and delicious. CQ has become so successful because of its concept to house everything under one roof — a grocery store, a farmers market, a car wash, many fashion and gift shops, plenty of restaurants and cafes, so why would you need to go anywhere else if you have everything you need and want in one location?
I try go CQ at least once a week and a visit to any other shopping centre reminds me why I don’t want to go anywhere else, nevertheless CQ is directed at a particular demographic and unfortunately the stores are up market and thus pricey but I’m willing to pay an extra few dollars on my hot chocolate if the setting, quality and service is better — and dear it is great.

This is one of the nicest shopping centres in Perth. A long strip of stores on various levels, with lots of glass to let the light in, I would almost go as far as to say that it is my personal favourite – by I think I would feel bad for my regular shopping centres, Karrinyup and Whitfords, were I to do so.
Just writing that sentence made me feel like an idiot, by the way. Perth is a giant network of shopping centres, all of them sharing the same shops and eateries, and all differentiated by little more than layout. To pick favourites, in no uncertain terms, is to be a little bit crazy.
But Claremont Quarter is probably my favourite. In addition to Koko Black, which does the best coffee I’ve had in Perth, the place also sports the macaroon vendor. I think his presence is entirely naff and infuriatingly worthy of a roll of the eyes. Which is kind of the point. Like Christopher Hitchens, hate gets me up in the morning. I probably wouldn’t have written this review if I hadn’t wanted to point out how decadent and even slightly revolting having a macaroon vendor around is. It’s a shame the macaroons are so good.

Bravo. It’s an attractive and swish specimen of a shopping centre, a design job well down (except maybe for the poor peeps on level 2 where foot traffic is more sporadic).
The centre is occupied mostly by high-​end stores with the fanciest in fashion, giftware, stationary and groceries as well as other places to throw your disposable income at like massage, wine bar and chocolaty high-​tea.
If ‘The Hills’ was set in Perth, I imagine the Claremont Quarter would play backdrop to their lives of lavish. It’s where the socialites would spend their days eating, drinking and (mostly) shopping.

I love Claremont so the Quarter is my new place of worship. Although it certainly can’t compare to the fashionable streets of Milan or Paris (as the ads suggest), it is probably as close as Perth will ever get (sad as that is). I do like a bit of fancy and there’s plenty of it here. With a whole variety of restaurants and cafes to dine at, plus numerous shopping options to spend your hard earned or inherited cash money, I can’t imagine how anyone could have a bad thing to say. I don’t get a chance to go as often as I can, but I do make sure to stock up on groceries when I’m there because it is surprisingly cheaper than many many supermarkets in other parts of the city (seriously, check that out yo!).
Make sure to grab a hot chocolate at Koko Black while you’re there…

Western suburb folks must be pretty damn excited about having this spanking new department store in their hood. What with its high-​end boutiques and designer stores, I-didn’t-know-Coles-could-be-that-amazing Coles and sprawling Atomic café, there’s no reason for them to venture out of their sunny beachside world anymore. Am I sounding sarcastic here? I apologise. It’s just a bit too shiny for my liking, that’s all. I don’t like department stores at the best of times, and this one seems large and hollow to me. There are some neat shops such as Father, The Giving Tree, Liquorice and Country Road, and the David Jones store is impressive, particularly the homewares division. The rest of it is a bit whatever. Ladies you might like some of the female designer stores — Zara Bryson in particular. CQ really reminds me of a high-​end centre I went to in Beverly Hills.
