The Gordon Club in Chatswood used to be a lot better than it is now, simply for the fact that the pool tables used to only cost one dollar a game. Now, they’ve gone all the way up to three. I’ve since stopped going there because of this, so how much extra money are they really making? Huh? Anyway, despite this pool table price hike, the Gordon Club does have some good qualities. They have a vast menu and provide delicious food; often I’ve been there with friends and we’ve had a little something to eat whilst watching some sport, playing some Keno or shooting some billionaires billiards. The drinks are quite nicely priced as well, I remember when they were $ 2.50 for a Tooheys New. I sound old, but it wasn’t too long ago. They’re still cheaper than a lot of places, but not quite that cheap. Once myself and a couple of friends were enjoying the bistro when a young guy burst into the dining area and bolted past us. He was swiftly followed by about three other guys. The lonesome guy, running for his life, turned around, picked up a chair and threw it at his pursuers. They ducked and then jumped on the singular gent. Security came soon after and sorted it out. I almost got indigestion. Those bastards. I also recall blowing into the breath tester, getting high scores, stumbling out past the receptionist of the club(The guy who signs you in) and saying to my friends, «I’ll be right to drive won’t I?» just to worry him. Between the indigestion and the worry, I’m not a great person am I? I may need to self reflect.
