Ocrab

The crab was amazing but the service was terrible. They first forgot our drinks order which they then gave us for free which was much appreciated but then they forgot our food order so we had to wait even longer. Such a shame because the actual Crab was delicious when once we finally got it.

This restaurant is reaaally hard to find! The Google Maps directions don’t work with the new exits at Chatswood station (it tells you to walk across the railway line) and the signs at Chatswood station do not show where Railway Street is. We ended up walking in the bus lane because there was no pedestrian sidewalk…
It’s in a residential apartment block. There is a sign for O Crab pointing to the right of the block but it’s actually to the left. Really really confusing.
Came with a group of 6 girls and we had several dishes to I got to try everything. Here’s my verdict:
Mulled wine — warm and tastes potent, like medicine to cure a cold or sore throat.
Chilli chicken wings — $ 12 for 3 wings is very expensive for average tasting wings. Comes with a few vegetable sticks on the side and a blue cheese dip with a strong blue cheese flavour.
Sweet potato chips — $ 9 for a really small serve, maybe 10 — 15 chips. They’re baked and are soggy.
Seafood chowder — $ 12 for cold chowder! It tasted like it had been cooked and then cooled down for 1 hour. The chowder was small — maybe 100ml.
King crab legs — $ 25 for 5 legs in garlic butter. The garlic butter is really nice!!! Really buttery and there’s heaps of sauce.
Mixed crab, prawns, corn and roasted potato pot in cajun sauce — $ 60 for a huge serving! It’s recommended for 2 people and I think you would be full on this alone without any sides. The sauce is reaaally yummy, just the right amount of spice, on the mild to hot side.
O Crabby patty burger with side of truffle fries — $ 21.50 Really nice buns and pineapple surprisingly works well in the burger. The patty was a little bland. Truffle fries not so great — tasted like normal fries with a tiny hint of truffle.
Garden salad — $ 7. Average.
Steamed vegetables — $ 7. Average, good for dipping in the crab sauces!

I like the place, amazing Craft beers such as Epic, Stone and Sierra Nevada. Love the service and choice of beers.
