This place is upstairs off one of the arcades along Victoria avenue. This place was described as cheap and cheerful by some previous Unilocalers and with that statement they are bang on the money. The place serves three different menu options throughout the day breakfast, lunch and dinner. The place serves authentic Hong Kong style food at under $ 7 with some change still left. The portions sizes are actually really big I was expecting to need to order a second round of food. I opted for the Peanut and Dried Fish Congee and some pan fried egg noodles with soy sauce. The Congee was really filling and the noodles were ok. The meal filled me up and the place is an ideal spot for when you don’t want waste your money on a fancy lunch but still get something that’s of a good standard. Perfect option for students or anyone who needs to take a break from the pots and pans for a while.

Came here when wanting to try out another restaurant(which was closed for renovations). A true hole in the wall place(it’s true that the dodgier looking the establishment is the better the food). This place may not be much, but the food was very tasty, close to authentic(most of the menus are written in Chinese!) and super cheap(yes it’s actually cheaper than places in Hong Kong — very rare that something like this exists in Sydney). I guess if you are all about food and don’t care much about service(the place is huge and there’s few wait staff), then this place will be good. But this place is another great alternative to cooking(for those who live/work North of the bridge)

Simple, cheap and quite tasty fare. Portions are generous and very authentic Hong Kong style. Service is variable but most of the staff are quite cheery. Quite often busy with ex-pat Hong Kong families which is a good sign of authenticity.
