A fun place to eat where the food literally appears before your eyes. Some is cooked on request such as soups and deep fried items. Just ask your chef. The plates are colour coded to indicate price, with colour guides located throughout the seating areas. Menus are also available for those special requests; or if you plain aren’t sure of what you’re eating. Gari(pickled ginger), soy sauce and wasabi provided. This Sushi Bay can get busy, however there is another in the complex which is just as good, only quieter.

Sushi Bay is a fabulous sushi train, one that me and my family all love! We used to frequent the Sushi Bay at Charlestown weekly, if not more. We now go to the one that has just opened at Glendale as it’s closer, but the same quality and service is upheld at both venues. The sushi is always fantastic — fresh, good quality and new creations are frequently added to the menu. The staff are always so attentive and if there is any thing you would like made from the menu it is promptly made and ready for you before you know it. And it is very reasonably priced. I would recommend Sushi Bay to any of my friends and will hopefully always be a frequent customer! :)

One of the few sushi conveyor belt style restaurants in Newcastle, there are actually two seperate restaurants within Charlestown Square. My preference is this one, situated on the outside of the mall on the Myer side car park. Even though the English barrier is there, the staff are always very helpful and attentive to personal orders. A good array of options are provided. Good spot to view sushi virgins eating with a fork too. This lesser known sushi bay won’t require you to line up like the one situated in the outdoor dining area downstairs and you can spend less time mulling about and more time fighting to get that plate you’ve been eyeing off
