History

Established in 1990.

The Joint Physiotherapy was opened as a second practice for Bernie Simai in Caulfield in 2004. It is located on the corner of Bambra and Glen Eira Roads in a building bought, extended and modified for the purpose of treating patients. For over 10 years people have sought the help of Bernie and his team to treat physical injuries of all sorts. The fact that most of our patients are referred by word of mouth is a testament to the level of treatment and care offered.

Business Owner

Bernie has run his own practice since 1991, and following the sale of the Mt Waverley practice in August 2011 decided on a name change for the Caulfield practice — now known as The Joint Physiotherapy.

He spent six years with AFL clubs (Melbourne and Richmond) and has travelled extensively with state and national representative teams, and was team physio for the South Dragons in the NBL. He looks after the Australian men’s softball team, has accompanied the team to many tournaments including to the world titles in New Zealand in 2008 and Canada in 2009, and went as the appointed team physio for the 2013 worlds in New Zealand. Locally, he has worked for many years with the State 3 North Caulfield soccer team.

He enjoys accurately diagnosing and successfully treating the more challenging problems that others have missed or misdiagnosed.
