I get the impression this place doesn’t actually want to serve people. I wandered up to grab a coffee. First thing I saw was«eftpos minimum $ 15». Steep but that’s ok I had cash. Then I asked to order a take away coffee and was told«we don’t do take aways». Strike two but hey I can sit down. Then they pointed at yet another sign«no beverage orders without a meal order». Wow. Despite a heap of vacant seats I couldn’t get a coffee no matter how I tried!

This is a hard one to write, I usually come here for a quick sit down where I order snack like foods and a drink. The last time I came here with three friends we ordered chips, bruschetta & wedges, the wedges had a fishy taste, the chips were undercooked and the bruschetta was spot on! My coffee was burnt but my friends ordered different things and were quiet content. The staff seemed like they’ve all had a long day and just wanted to close up(it was a Thursday night so who could blame them!) I’ll have to try this place for their meals and update this review!

I have never had a reason to complain about Casba! Whether I be moody, hungry, picky or annoyed, Casba just makes me smile: D I have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner there but my favourite is their breakfast without a doubt! Cheesy croissants stuffed generously and served with oranges! Incredibly tasty affogato and pancakes that blow your mind! And that is just a taste of what they offer! Topped off with great service and a lovely, unassuming setting, you see why I keep coming back?!

Located on the centre of the top floor at Castle Towers, the café has a great view of the of the shopping centre. In the early morning the glass walls allow you to view the shopping centre coming to life, truly fascinating. Since they opened their doors, they have become one of the most popular cafes in the centre with their well cooked meals. During the recent teachers strike I took my granddaughter for breakfast. She is only 12 and a very fussy eater. I thought I would have problems but she had the scrambled eggs and I had eggs Florentine. We both thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the cup of coffee I had while she had a banana smoothie. At Christmas they do a fantastic french toast and maple syrup using panetone. It makes great French toast and add bacon and you have the perfect meal. They also have beautiful open sandwiches and croissants. A beautiful spiced pumpkin soup in winter and charming salads in summer. I don’t think have had a bad meal there yet and I don’t think I ever will.
