Carlton Veterinary Clinic

Having a good vet is just as important as having a good doctor… or a good barista. Someone close-​by that can look after your needs at the drop of a hat. My vet (or rather, my dog Lucy’s vet) is at the Carlton Veterinary Clinic located on Rathdowne street in Carlton North.
Lucy is getting on a bit and therefore needs a bit more special attention — she is a little bit blind, a little bit deaf and, well, just really old in general. the people at the Carlton Vet Clinic are always fantastic, and like Miriam said in the previous review that will look after her at the drop of a hat.
It really does put your mind at ease to know that this gem of a vet is available and will do everything they are capable of to look after your pooch/​cat/​guinea pig.

My cat developed an eye infection, but at the time I didn’t know what is was. He was having difficulty lifting his head and his vision was noticeably affected. Obviously I was freaking out and needed to get him to the closet vet, stat. So I gave The Carlton Veterinary Clinic a call. They were completely booked out but were still happy for me to bring him in. When I got there they gave him a look over straight away to assess how urgent the matter was, luckily it wasn’t life threating so I was able to wait until there was a gap in the appointments. Little things like these make a person feel so much more at ease. I went from absolute panic to a tad worried (after all my cat was still sick). But my worry was put to ease when I learnt it was just a simple eye infection. I would have to give the poor little guy some eye drops, I was told. That sent me to panic mode again knowing very well that my 6kgs cat would just cut me to bits. Seeing the fear in my eyes, the vet told me if I had any trouble with the eye drops I was welcome to bring him in and they could help me. God bless you, Carlton Veterinary Clinic.
