Pets Paradise

The store named Pets Paradise does not exist any more inside the Carousel shopping centre.

This is no paradise.
They have live animals in tiny cages. Animals look weak, sleepy and kinda sick. I bought a puppy recently from a reputable breeder and I selected based on how playful the puppy was. I was right and we love him. However, even most spirited puppies and kittens will have their wills crushed by spending days in those tiny enclosures.
I don’t understand how is this even legal. Is it? It shouldn’t be. Pet shops shouldn’t have live animals, especially when it comes to animals that need a bit of space (I could understand maybe snakes or fishes, they are quite happy in smaller space).
Don’t buy puppies or kittens here. In fact don’t buy anything here in boycott of their cruel practices as another reviewer suggested.

Ha! Pets Paradise, indeed!
Any pet shop that thinks keeping animals in tiny glass cages all day where people can gawk and tap and crowd them is far from a pet’s paradise.
Seriously, what the hell? How have we not evolved past this? Pet shops like this are not healthy places for animals. I don’t want to single Pets Paradise out — all ‘traditional’ pet shops where cute baby animals are forced to be on display for our amusement are guilty of exploitation.
Just google ‘reasons not to buy pet store puppies’ and trust me, you’ll not just want to boycott ‘traditional’ pet shops, you’ll want to join a radical animal rights group, too.
The latter may not be the best thing to do. But boycotting places like Pets Paradise is definitely a good idea. Pets can be bought from reputable pet shops like Mount Lawley Pets and Puppies, where the dogs have proper runs outdoors and large comfy enclosures to sleep in at night (no glass walls and shredded paper here). Or why not go to the pound or an animal refuge? There are, sadly, many animals out there in need of a loving home.
