Always come back for more. I’d have to say the best thai and lao food! Usually get the same thing here but always tastes so good! — chilli and basil chicken — just the right amount of chilli(mind you I don’t like chilli but love this dish) — salt and pepper squid — not a lot of people can make this dish perfect, but they do! Those are my main fave dishes :) Plus the pandan fried ice cream and lychee and strawberry shake — must try!!!

By far my favorite thai place! Very affordable prices as well as great atmosphere. Definitely has the best thai fried rice! And closer to home too :)

Great food with reasonable prices. People that work there are fantastic and ensure you’re looked after. I Never leave this place disappointed.

Food was incredible but the service was not the best. The lady making the drinks was very rude and she seemed to be the person running the show. Under staffed for the amount of people in the restaurant. Ox tongue was good, duck salad was delish and the fried icecream was the best! Great food but staff need to learn some customer service.

Drive along St Johns Road and you’ll see houses, houses, houses, more hosues, newsagency, pharmacy, butcher, contemporary Thai & Laos restaurant. What!!! Located in the most unlikely of locations this stand alone restaurant does pretty well even with Holy Basil being a mere 3 min drive away. Lines a plenty during peak food times so make sure to book. FOOD I’ve been meaning to check out this place for awhile and see how it stacks up against Holy Basil. The similarities are endless from the modern wooden décor to their filo pastry deep fried ice-cream which I unfortunately was too tired to stick around to try. I know me? what? too tired for food? noway! Trying to stay clear of the normal Thai dishes I order, dinner consisted of — Crying Tiger/Grilled Beef($ 9.90 –NAY(definitely left me crying as it didn’t taste like beef!) — Chicken Choo-Chee Curry($ 11.90) — YAY — Pork Satay Noodle($ 11.90) — HMMMM… — Sticky Rice($ 3) — YAY — Green Milk Tea($ 4) — YAY OVERALL The atmosphere is just like any other modern Thai restaurant(think Home, Chat Thai, Red Spoon) so my rating is very heavily weighted towards food. Unfortunately with a lot of these Thai restaurants it comes down to food selection. Select the right meals and you could have a 4⁄5 star experience. Select the wrong ones and your back to a 3 or worse case 2. Trying to be different and adventurous in this instance has caused a lower rating. I would recommend this as a place to try though. I will however be back. Pandan Fried Ice-cream wait for me!
