Business Owner

Jamilla Deville is a pioneer of the art of pole dancing. Coming from a background in various forms of dance, as well as adagio, trapeze and silks, Jamilla started pole dancing in 2000 and was one of the industry’s first professional instructors. In 2005 she claimed the original title of Miss Pole Dance Australia and in 2006 she created the International Pole Federation, an organisation created by dancers, for dancers. In 2007 she created the first volumes of the series that would quickly become the most popular pole dance instructional series in the world and another innovator: The Art of Pole DVD Collection. Known as «the pole dancers bible», The Art of Pole has expanded into a top-​selling series of 8 DVDs which continues to influence both students and teachers globally. From 2009 – 2011 Jamilla received awards as International Instructor of the Year from the IPDFA as well as Pole Dance International Magazine. Jamilla is also the face of X-​Pole Australia.
